27th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I wish i had gone with Andrea years ago. I had tried several local agents in the area over the years. Some overvalued my property to win the business or had the viewings conducted by junior staff without much experience. Andrea managed to get a genuine buyer and a successful sale despite the current problems in Central London. Courteous, conducted viewings himself and I wish I had met him and taken his advice years ago.
14th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)Probably the most stressfull financial event is selling a house. Not now ! the solution and only way forward is to engage the services of The Stuart Thomas Estate agency. Should you be lucky enough to be within their area then they are the go to Team. The owner, Stuart Thomas, is an immensely experienced, very professional and diligent person, his agency is staffed with a great team whom will get the job done. At all times the viewings were carried out either by Stuart or one of his staff, viewings were on time and executed in a proffesional and friendly manner, we were also given feedback after the viewing. The details and photos were perfect and the listing on Rightmove and other media were spot on. Our house sold within a few weeks. For fear of leaving anyone out I will not name the people I dealt with but rest assured you are all great and very much appreciated. However, I will actually name Sally as she kindly recommended a solicitor to deal with our conveyancing of the sale, Tracy Hughes at Paul Robinson Solicitors. This is so worth a mention as our original solicitor was a complate and utter waste of space, so we needed to find an alternative quickly. Tracy Hughes was simply exceptional, awesome in fact. After a lifetime of buying and selling house and having countless solicitors trying to stuff it up, to find Tracy was a breath of fresh air, great recomendation Sally. Our sincere Thanks goes to Stuart Thomas and the Team, Fantastic Job!

They successfully sold two of our houses and provided amazing service from start to finish. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly, professional, and dedicated to getting the best outcome for us. We would like to give an extra special mention to Debbie, who dealt with our purchases and was incredibly professional, helpful, and supportive throughout the process. We also want to thank Danny and Ruby, who truly went the extra mile when selling our homes too. Their communication was excellent — they always picked up messages quickly, responded promptly, and made us feel genuinely heard and supported every step of the way. They all worked incredibly hard to sell both properties and gave us the extra care and attention that made such a difference during what can be a stressful process. We’re so grateful for all of their hard work and would absolutely use John Alexander again in the future to sell our home. Thank you!

We were very impressed with their total professionalism and treated with respect at all times. Nothing was too much trouble and no promises were made that couldn't be kept. This can be a stressful time but it simply wasn't. A huge thank you to Shelley and Chris for all their hard work. We could not have asked for more from the team and matters progressed so smoothly. 2nd May 2026 (9 weeks ago)I sold my house through a separate agent, I was charged probably the going rate, I myself had to do the viewing, chase up and constantly phone them, it was like I was doing all the work, solicitors were the same take your money and offer no support, I bought through Peagrams, and after some initial confusion I went and spoke to them in person at there office, and from then on Amy took control of the situation, and at last I had someone who was honest truthful and on the ball, throughout the whole process I dealt with many people, none of them showed the same professional approach as she did, if I sell my house in the future would 100% use Peagrams, and would recommend to anyone as long as Amy is still there, a credit to your company, she deserves a pay rise.

Within hours he called us with the valuation explaining exactly why it was that price and then explained the process / options and gave us time to work through the the best route to take. An absolute 5* star service and I would not hesitate to contact them to sell my property. Thank you Nick absolutely great service.
21st Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Stoneridge Estate Agents. From start to finish, there was a clear lack of professionalism, urgency, and basic sales progression. We consistently felt that the process was being handled in favour of the buyer, with little regard for us as the sellers. Communication was poor throughout. Emails marked as urgent were not responded to in a timely manner, and updates were vague or lacking altogether. At a critical stage in the transaction, we were left chasing for information that should have been proactively managed by the agent. Most concerning was the failure to properly progress the sale. Key actions, such as chasing solicitors and moving outstanding enquiries forward, were not carried out with the level of urgency expected. This caused unnecessary delays and added significant stress. The buyer’s survey and subsequent renegotiation were also allowed to happen very late in the process, creating avoidable disruption. This should have been addressed much earlier and managed far more effectively. Overall, the handling of this sale was poor and ultimately led to us losing confidence and withdrawing completely. We would not recommend.

Appreciated Rick's time but ultimately decided we are looking elsewhere and know that any of his clients will be well looked after.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We had a few agents come out to value our property, but we decided to go with Colubrid because, from our first meeting, Joshua seemed extremely confident that he could sell our home quickly. As the Chelmer Village estate agent, he explained that properties like ours are his bread and butter. Our property went on the market on Thursday and was sold by Monday. I cannot thank Joshua and the team enough for their hard work and professionalism throughout. I believe Millie conducted the viewings, and I was told she was local to the area. That certainly showed, as her knowledge of Chelmer Village helped generate multiple offers on our property. If you're thinking of choosing Colubrid, don't hesitate. I would highly recommend them.
