20th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I have now worked with Strutt and Parker twice, first when purchasing my home last year and more recently when selling a family property. On both occasions, the team was exceptionally personable, supportive and attentive. They consistently went above and beyond, never making anything feel like too much trouble. Selling the family home was particularly emotional and throughout the process, the team demonstrated genuine kindness and understanding, which made an otherwise difficult experience much more manageable. Every member of the team played a part in the sale. It felt like working with an extension of the family as they all knew who I was and were able to assist promptly and effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend Strutt and Parker to anyone seeking an efficient, effective, supportive and compassionate estate agent in Edinburgh.

15th Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)I genuinely enjoyed working as a Trainee Surveyor and learning from two experienced professionals who were supportive and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, my experience in the property office was very different. The person running the office was inexperienced, insecure, and lacking in confidence. They created a toxic environment, being two faced, patronising, and often blaming new starters, claiming mistakes were their fault, even when communication was poor, organisation was lacking, and errors were frequent. New starters were often targeted for mistakes while not in the office, leaving them unable to understand or respond to situations effectively. The leadership style prioritised self promotion over supporting the team. The environment was exhausting, demoralising, and unsustainable for anyone serious about developing their career. It is no surprise that staff turnover is high in the property office, yet some employees may not realise this is due to the office culture. Despite these challenges, I value the lessons learned from supportive colleagues and from navigating a difficult environment, which will help my professional growth.

I popped into the office a few times and my solicitor Matthew was always able to see me, you don’t get that much no a days. Glad I used Matthew to sell my house. All my thanks!
15th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Took my case with roger colledge he then got an advocate from glasgow named susan duff she told me one the day of me giving evidence she was not bringing in my two main wittness another witness was told to keep her answers to a minamal ended up doing 7 years through poor lawyers representing me tried last week speaking to gavin orr to take the case back on for an appeal against the conviction and he point blanked refused would not recommend this firm to anybody please use someone that cares for their clients cause this lot dont

Their communication was fantastic throughout—we were always kept informed, and any questions were answered promptly, making what could have been a stressful process so much easier. As we don't live in Dumfries, we needed an agent we could place our trust in, we met with a few different agents, but from the minute we met Mark, we instinctively knew he was the right person for us. Mark from the get go was absolutely fantastic, he is a rare find in the property world, a safe pair of hands who genuinely cares , even though he had a number of properties live on the market to manage, he never loses focus and has an exceptional and methodical way of progressing the process. He was always professional, friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with, helping every viewing run smoothly. Thank you to Mark and top photographer Robyn and everyone at JHS Law for your outstanding support - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your services to anyone buying or selling a home.

3rd Sep 2025 (11 mo. ago)C grade lawyers that couldn't sell their way out of a wet paper bag. Why anyone picks companies like this when they can have a proper estate agency is beyond me.
18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)After my father passed away, I needed to sell his house and we chose to use Neil from Walker and Sharpe to act on our behalf. Both Neil and Gillian were exceptional! Their support and advice was spot on throughout and when things lower down the chain got complicated, they were able to explain everything and offer solutions. 18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)Had a great experience buying a property through Let Property. Sales process started with a tough negotiation and completion was pretty smooth. Picked up keys today and very happy with the purchase for the price I got it for - would 100% use them again for another purchase as they have a lot of good deals if you are looking to buy tenanted property.

16th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Both Gary and Alaina in the Dumfries branch of Hunters have been outstanding in what has been a very stressful and upsetting time in my life. My father passed away a few months ago and as his only child I was left to deal with his estate. Living 300 miles away, this was obviously quite an intimidating prospect. Gary and Alaina offered a huge amount of support and professionalism and sold my dad's house in less than 3 weeks of marketing. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I'm so happy I chose them to assist me! Jenny
