The whole process went very smoothly and I would strongly recommend them!<br><br>**Update after 5 years:** I’ve now been using Oadby Estates for around five years across several properties and continue to be extremely happy with their service.<br><br>They have consistently found me high-quality, reliable tenants who look after the properties and pay their rent on time. Most recently, Ranjit was extremely diligent throughout the letting process and found excellent tenants for my property.<br><br>Ravi and Anup have always looked after me very well, and Anita was also fantastic recently in helping to resolve some maintenance issues.<br><br>Over the years, I’ve found the whole team to be professional, responsive and reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oadby Estates to other landlords.

Communication was excellent and we always felt kept up to date. Although we ultimately decided to take our property off the market for now, we were very happy with the service we received and would have no hesitation recommending them ??????
4th Aug 2026 (19 days ago)Extremely disappointed with the service from this estate agency. From the start, it was clear they only care about pushing through a quick sale rather than actually understanding what I need. They pressured me to fit their timescale with zero consideration for my personal circumstances or capacity to move at that pace.<br><br>There was also no attempt to understand what I’m looking for in my next property. I specifically need a 3-4 bed detached house, and despite telling the agent this, I kept receiving listings for 2 bed semis instead from the ‘agent’ Mandip Nagra. It felt like nobody was actually listening to my requirements.<br><br>On top of that, when I asked to rearrange a photography session for my house, Mandip was genuinely rude to me about it, saying that I was making the estate agent lose money. He spoke to me in a condescending tone stating ‘you do know that this isn’t the first time you’ve tried to rearrange the photography session, right?’ That interaction was the final straw of why I decided to pull out of the sale entirely. If a basic conversation about rearranging a booking turns into rudeness, it doesn’t inspire any confidence in how the rest of the process would be handled.<br><br>Overall, this experience has left me feeling like a number rather than a client. I’d expect basic listening skills and courtesy as standard, and this agency failed on both counts. I wouldn’t recommend them if you want an agent who actually takes your needs into account. I really hope the manager, Steve, will speak to Mandip regarding my complaint about his attitude as this will continue to push customers away if it is not corrected.

My experience:<br><br>Maintenance: Repairs were slow, including safety issues — a faulty smoke alarm and roof leak — never resolved during my tenancy.<br><br>Contract: Fridge and washing machine weren’t covered under maintenance — check this before signing, as I was asked to replace them myself when they broke.<br><br>Move-in: Property wasn’t fully cleaned, storage was partly occupied by the landlord’s belongings, and keys were only given out in the evening with no earlier option.<br><br>Move-out: We cleaned thoroughly, but a cleaning deduction was still proposed — disputed with our own photos. Also questioned over a magnum loly left in the fridge and a pair of nearly-new footwear left intentionally for reuse for backyard. As I’d already left the country, a family member had to attend and clean before the deposit was released.<br><br>Deposit: Deductions were proposed for pen marks on a door/wall that weren’t ours — resolved with dated photos from move-in. Deposit was only returned 1 month and 2 days after I vacated, after a lot of back-and-forth.<br><br>Takeaway: Document everything with photos on move-in and move-out, and read the maintenance clauses carefully.

David, Emma and the team were very professional, easy to get along well with, and always available to answer any questions we had throughout the whole process. The efficiency with which they liaised with other agents involved as well as conveyancers just made things run so smoothly. I would highly recommend Thorps to friends, family and anybody else who asks!

From the initial contact we found GianFranco to be efficient, professional, proactive and thoroughly pleasant. He sold our property on the day of the first set of viewings and kept us informed all the way up to completion. I could not have scripted a more stress free experience myself. There should be a five star plus rating to do justice to excellence like GianFanco’s. Thank you on behalf of our family.

He went the extra mile with giving us advice. From our first viewing, right up to completion Ben was great. I wish we had put our house on the market with this company.<br><br>I would have given more than 5 stars if I could.

Aftab visited me in my home, gave a valuation based on excellent local knowledge and suggested many practical steps to proceed with the sale, including recommendations for tradesmen to assist. The photographer took some great photos in a professional manner, and listened well to my suggestions. The team communicated clearly throughout the process with group chats and phone calls when necessary. I would definitely use this firm if I ever have to move in future.
23rd Jul 2026 (4 weeks ago)Had a brilliant experience with selling my parents house with Spencers in Wigston. My first contact was with their sales valuer Mike, I found him to be very polite and professional, and was even respectful and considerate enough to take his shoes off when visiting the property (yes, sometimes it really is the little things that help to make a difference!) It took a little longer than we hoped to sell the property although this was in no way due to any fault of Spencers, it was just the speed of properties in general selling in our particular area and my reluctance to lower the asking price! We sold the property for a fair price which was very close to the asking price. I can 100% recommend using Spencers in Wigston and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The whole process went very smoothly with excellent communication throughout the entire process. Thanks very much to the Spencers team, especially Mike, Jo, Georgina and Shaniya.
