23rd Jun 2026 (18 weeks ago)My estate agent ghosted me!<br><br>I listed my two-bed flat for sale with Melissa Berry in May. It was my first time selling a property, and thankfully Melissa seemed helpful and friendly at the valuation, although she did seem to take my lead on pricing the property rather than guiding me towards a price that she thought would be a best fit. A couple of weeks later she came to take photos – and that was, sadly, the last I saw or heard of her.<br><br>The property had been on the market for a couple of weeks when I emailed to check in, and asked whether there’d been any interest. I did get a reply from a sales agent called Geraldine, saying that someone was interested in viewing the property but wouldn’t be able to visit for a couple of weeks; I replied straight away with my availability and asked what sort of time the viewing would go ahead. No response.<br><br>A week later, I emailed again to ask if the viewing was going ahead. Again, I was ignored. I tried calling, and left messages. Finally, after waiting another week, I emailed one last time to say that I was going to list the flat with another agent and asking Melissa/Geraldine to remove it from their listings. I expected a reply to that, at least – but instead they quietly took the property off their website, again without replying to my email.<br><br>I wasted over a month trying to work with Melissa Berry, only to be completely ghosted and treated as though I didn’t exist. Whether it was something I said or the business has just taken on more clients than it can handle, I recommend avoiding them unless you enjoy the silent treatment: there are plenty of other agencies out there.

Brilliant service from start to finish, always kept me updated throughout the whole process and was always there if I had any questions. Made everything so much easier and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to sell their house. Thanks again Georgina!
15th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)I visited the office to return my keys. While signing paperwork, I overheard three members of staff mocking a family who had just left. The family were not native English speakers and had complained that the property they were due to move into was too dirty to occupy as planned.<br><br>Hearing staff ridicule customers for raising concerns about the cleanliness of their new home was deeply unprofessional. As a white bystander, I also felt the mocking had a racial undertone. The incident left me with a very poor impression of how this agency treats its customers.<br><br>I would rate 0 stars if I could.

My initial valuation with John was professional and informative, the team in the office were always friendly and incredibly helpful, and Michelle was fantastic during the final stages before completion, answering any queries promptly and making everything run smoothly.<br>They really made what can be a challenging and stressful process feel much easier. Having used different estate agents in the past, I can honestly recommend Kirkham with complete confidence and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.<br><br>Thank you to the whole team for such a great experience!

30th Jul 2026 (13 weeks ago)I cannot recommend Sue and the team at LRG/Leaders highly enough.<br><br>My purchase wasn’t straightforward, with delays outside anyone’s control, but throughout the entire process Sue kept me updated, responded promptly to my emails, and was always reassuring, kind, professional and incredibly patient.<br><br>Communication was excellent from start to finish, and I always felt informed about what was happening.<br><br>Massive thanks to Sue and the team for all of your hard work in helping me purchase my first home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team to anyone buying or selling a property.

Could not place an offer and when I enquired why the question was completely ignored. When Mark arrived to value my property I found him extremely rude and arrogant! I was incredibly grateful when he left! Totally avoid at all costs .

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. They set up a Whatsapp group to keep us informed of progress and were very quick to respond to any questions we asked. They were polite and courteous whilst friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt listened to and valued throughout. Our house was marketed very promptly, the photographs and information were superb. The cherry on the cake - the house was sold within 2 days of advertising, above the asking price! I would urge anyone selling their property to contact W&J Properties - you won't be disappointed!
