10th Aug 2026 (13 days ago)Linas at Barnard Marcus has managed our tenanted property for over ten years, and I can't recommend him highly enough.<br>We're overseas landlords, so we rely entirely on our agent to be our eyes and ears on the ground — and Linas has never once given us cause for concern. He's taken us through three or four tenancy changeovers, each handled smoothly, and when issues come up he deals with them promptly and keeps us properly informed.<br>Ten years of consistently going above and beyond. Genuinely trustworthy, and a large part of why owning a rental property in London has been stress-free for us.
11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)I’ve been supporting my sister hunting for a flat recently. Kitty Lehane at the Hampstead branch was so helpful and lovely. Every conversation was a delight and even though we didn’t find the right property with Foxtons, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Kitty. She made sure that any opportunities were sent to us and viewings were arranged swiftly. I shall be sad we are no longer flat hunting but now Kitty can devote her time to other lucky clients! I only gave four stars because we didn’t find a property- but if it was to rate the person she’d get 10 stars.
14th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)I am writing this based on my experience dealing with an agent at Century 21 London Central regarding a serious water leak from a property they manage.<br>A leak from the flat above caused significant damage to my flat, including damage to the ceiling, walls and flooring, with further cracks appearing in several areas. The source of the leak was subsequently confirmed by a Westminster Housing technician.<br>I first informed Dusan about the matter on 21 June. Since then, I have had to repeatedly chase for progress:<br>9 July – followed up for an update<br>14 July – followed up again<br>20 July – followed up again<br>21 July – contractor visited the flat to inspect the damage<br>28 July – followed up again<br>3 August – followed up again<br>On 3 August, the contractor confirmed that he would prepare the quotation that evening and send it to the agent the following morning, with the intention of arranging the repair as soon as possible. I heard nothing further.<br>By 12 August, I had to chase again. The agent then emailed the contractor asking for the quotation. This was despite the agent having already asked the contractor for the quote on 9 July and again on 29 July.<br>As of 14 August, almost eight weeks after I first contacted the agent, I still have no quotation and no date for the repair.<br>What is particularly disappointing is that I have repeatedly had to chase both the agent and contractor, rather than seeing the matter actively managed through to resolution. From my perspective, it feels as though the responsibility is simply being passed back and forth, while the damage to my property remains unrepaired.<br>The situation has also developed further, with my tenant reporting electrical problems after the water spread through the flat, including repeated circuit/fuse tripping and lights no longer working. This makes the lack of urgency even more concerning.<br>I understand that the leak itself was not caused by the agent. My concern is entirely with how the resulting problem has been managed. I would expect a professional property management company to take ownership of a serious maintenance issue, communicate properly with all parties and ensure that necessary repairs are progressed within a reasonable timeframe.<br>I am also a landlord myself, and I take the condition of my property and the wellbeing of my tenant very seriously. I would never allow a repair issue like this to be left unresolved for this length of time. Based on how this matter has been handled, I would not use the agent and Century 21 London Central to manage my property, as this level of management could damage the landlord’s reputation and potentially expose the landlord to complaints, liability and legal action if the property is not properly managed.

He was extremely professional, very clear in his communication, knew when to step in and when to step back when the owner was showing us around. Willing to come in very early to show us a property, even on a Saturday. Straight-talking without any of the usual "fluff" that comes with the industry. Very quick to reply and very helpful. Neil and Belinda and the whole team were always available and approachable by phone, email and in person in the office. I cannot recommend enough!

I did eventually find as property, although not through Foxtons, but I’d highly recommend Josh.

Evelyn was brilliant at showing us around the properties, and the signing process was smooth and straightforward.<br><br>Since moving in, our property manager Saima, has been incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions we’ve had about the house or maintenance.<br><br>Everyone we’ve dealt with has been responsive, professional and kind, making the whole experience a real pleasure.<br>We would highly recommend Hamptons Muswell Hill.

Her dedication and desire to help us and offer quality service is evident and she continues to offer support, being very patient and attentive to my queries. As a result, I am a very happy tenant in a new home that I already love within a few days of moving in. Also a special thanks to Oliver who had made an extra trip to deliver the keys! Again, they showed a great teamwork and the dedication. Thank you!

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

As a student from India, I wasn't familiar with the UK renting process, but Leon was incredibly patient, responsive, and always happy to help. He explained every step clearly, answered all my questions promptly, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I always felt supported throughout the process, and I truly appreciate how approachable and professional he was.

He was always helpful, easy to communicate with, and genuinely seemed to care about helping me find the right place rather than just trying to get everything done as quickly as possible. He made the whole experience so much easier and less stressful and was always there whenever I had questions or needed help with something.<br><br>What I appreciated most was the amount of effort he put in throughout the entire process. I never felt like I was just another client, and he really went out of his way to make sure I was happy with everything. Finding a new place can be pretty stressful, but Athman genuinely made it a really positive experience, and I couldn't have asked for better service.<br><br>I also really want to mention Lyla, who was a massive help towards the end of the process. She helped me get everything sorted and finalized once I had found my new place and made those last steps so much smoother.<br><br>Really grateful to both Athman and Lyla for all their help. I’m genuinely so happy with my new place and with how everything worked out. Would definitely recommend them!
