9th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Truly first rate experience from start to finish.<br><br>Of the 3 higher end national estate agents we invited around to value our home last November, there was one standout - Knight Frank.<br><br>Ed Hunt and Lottie Lambert from Knight Frank’s Winchester office displayed a level of pre-preparation I was very surprised to see. They came armed with the floor plan and previous sales particulars (we had bought 7 years prior through another agent), and immediately remarked on the improvements we had made. Such was their level of professionalism and genuine enthusiasm for our home that my wife and I both said afterwards that there was no competition; we wanted them to sell our house.<br><br>While the market has been challenging, Knight Frank succeeded in finding two buyers / and offers for us in a period of weeks; and helped us cultivate the most promising of the two while they marketed their own house in Balham. That sale was being conducted through Knight Frank’s Balham office, ensuring great communication all round.<br><br>Lottie has been with us every step of the way and with the sale now exchanged, I felt it right to post this review (entirely unsolicited) to highlight what I consider exemplary service throughout. Would highly recommend. Sincere thanks from both of us.
19th Aug 2026 (4 days ago)We recently sold our house through Connells but using their third-party auction company. Once signed up to the auction company, they should take over the sale leaving very little for Connells to do, unfortunately this didn’t happen, the service we received was very poor. Thankfully, Samantha Oxley at Connells was on the ball, acting between us and the auction company. There were times when Sam was as frustrated as us with the lack of service from the auction company, but she kept working on our behalf.<br>Thanks Sam
20th Aug 2026 (3 days ago)UNAUTHORISED USE OF MY COPYRIGHTED PHOTOGRAPHS, PERSONAL DATA & PRIVACY CONCERNS<br><br>This review reflects my personal experience and the documentary evidence I hold.<br><br>I personally took photographs of our home throughout its renovation and completion. They included myself, my husband and our granddaughter, as well as our home and personal possessions.<br><br>When Austin Hawk were instructed to sell our home, I provided the photographs via a digital link with a clear written instruction that they were only to be shown to our prospective buyers.<br><br>Austin Hawk sold our home. Several months later, when the new owner decided to remarket the property, I discovered that Austin Hawk were using the same photographs again to market the property to a new group of prospective buyers.<br><br>I had never given permission for this subsequent use, nor had I transferred copyright or granted Austin Hawk an unrestricted licence to use my photographs.<br><br>I contacted Austin Hawk and specifically asked whether my photographs were being used again. I was told they were not. I raised the matter again and received further assurances that this was not happening. Only after I produced evidence demonstrating that the photographs were being used did John W acknowledge that they had in fact been used.<br><br>I find this particularly concerning because I had given clear, limited permission for the photographs to be used only in connection with the sale of our home.<br><br>Under UK copyright law, the person who creates an original photograph will generally own the copyright. A licence to use photographs can also be limited to a particular purpose. The subsequent use therefore raises serious concerns about potential copyright infringement and use outside the permission I granted. (gov.uk)<br><br>The photographs also contained identifiable images of members of my family, our home and our possessions. Their subsequent use for a different sale raises additional data-protection and privacy concerns, particularly in light of the original, expressly limited purpose. The ICO’s guidance requires personal data to be processed lawfully, fairly and transparently and in accordance with the purpose-limitation principle. (ico.org.uk)<br><br>Austin Hawk’s own Privacy Policy states that where they need to share a customer’s personal data with a third party, the customer will be informed beforehand and approval will be required. (austinhawk.co.uk)<br><br>Austin Hawk is also registered with The Property Ombudsman, whose members are expected to operate with appropriate standards of fairness, integrity and professional conduct.<br><br>I believe clients should be able to trust an estate agent to respect clear instructions concerning photographs of their family, home and personal possessions.<br><br>Having discovered that my photographs had been reused without my permission — and having initially been told that they were not being used — has seriously undermined my confidence in Austin Hawk.<br><br>This review reflects my personal experience and the documentary evidence I hold.- 6th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)I had a really great recent experience with using Connells, specifically Ali as my mortgage advisor. My buying process wasn't straight forward but she was always on hand to answer questions and reassure me. This is especially great as a first time buyer, the process can feel overwhelming but Ali was amazing every step of the way! 10/10 would recommend to anyone currently looking to buy.
17th Dec 2021 (4 years ago)We recently purchased a property through Savills that should have been a smooth process based on a small chain however for various reasons outside our or the buyers control it was far from it. Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

22nd Apr 2024 (2 years ago)I have been working with Lindsay Johnn for almost a year on the sale of my mother's house. I live in California, and the house was in probate and other agents and lawyers kept telling me how many potential complications I was likely to run into, but when I met Lindsay, instead of worrying me, she reassured me and filled me with confidence! Yes, of course we ran into a couple of problems, but Lindsay always met us with solutions even before she told us what the problem was!???? To say she is cool under fire is an understatement. Her customer service was second to none. As I said, I live in California, and if I emailed her in the evening my time she wouldn't just email me back when she woke up, she would call me the next morning on my way to work! As I said, the house was in probate, so it required a long period of time before exchange of contracts and completion, which required strong negotiation skills on her part, and she got us what we needed! I only met Lindsay once in person, and I only regret that I wasn't able to work more with her in person, as apart from being a wonderful estate agent, she is a lovely person too! If you don't retain Lindsay to buy or sell you a house, you are missing out! Dominic Fergus-Bentall

They have been extremely professional, great communication and understanding that my mum is elderly and being very patient with her. I received regular updates on the progress of the sale, and my specific requests were responded to professionally and promptly. I would recommend Bournes to anyone looking for an estate agent that offers that little bit extra.

An honest and extremely helpful discussion on what's involved and how to proceed. Highly recommended as a point of contact and will not hesitate to use should the need arise.

They sold my property incredibly quickly and achieved the full asking price, with the whole process from listing to completion taking less than four months.<br><br>All of the viewings were handled smoothly, and throughout the process Tom, the manager, and especially Chloe were fantastic. I dealt with Chloe regularly and she was always incredibly helpful, responsive and kept me updated at every stage, which made what can be a stressful process feel much easier.<br><br>We were really impressed with the level of service and how efficiently everything was handled. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charters to anyone looking to sell their property, particularly in the Totton area.

Luci works hard and is there whenever you need advice. She kept us updated at all stages of the sale and as others have said she is down to earth, honest and understands the market.
