1st Oct 2026 (26 days ago)I would like to express my appreciation for the professionalism and helpful advice given to me by the rep from Romans Estate agents, George Steedman during his visit to evaluate our family home. First we sat in the lounge to discuss the house and the considerable services Romans had to offer & their wide network of connections especially with London. The portfolio showed some of the houses shot from unusual angles making them appear striking. During the subsequent tour his focus was on the house as a family home rather than its obvious capacity for extensions & the like.<br>I felt that Romans would deliver a personal touch, seeing every house as unique & that they would handle any transaction with care & consideration.
25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)We didn’t sell with them, we ended up switching agents, they came in and promised this and that and then nothing, we were told they would contact us weekly to let us know what is going on even if nothing has happened, we heard not unless we chased it, when they took new photos it took almost 10 days for them to come back and get us to approve them, we had 3 sales managers in the 12 weeks we were with them, and staff members would bad mouth others by saying oh sorry yeah they have been spoken about that in the past etc, they came in saying one price which was the same as the others and then within two weeks badgering us to drop the price, we did but they couldn’t even change the listing in their front window of the shop, as we changed the price mid august and the advert in the window was still showing the original price

Hannah did everything she could to help progress our sale, liaising with both our own and our buyer's solicitors to help move things along and she was a pleasure to deal with.

The entire process was handled with the utmost professionalism and efficiency, making everything smooth and stress-free. Any questions we had were answered promptly and thoroughly, which made the experience all the more positive.<br><br>A sincere thank you to James, Jasmine, and the entire team at the Reading branch for their outstanding support throughout. She is absolutely fantastic and goes above and beyond!- 13th Oct 2026 (14 days ago)Very disappointing communication and customer service<br><br>Unfortunately, our experience with Prospect Letting Agency was extremely frustrating, particularly regarding communication, transparency and the accuracy of information provided.<br><br>Oliver Payne (Ollie) was our main point of contact, and we repeatedly had to chase him for responses to straightforward questions regarding the tenancy, payments, inventory, parking and check-in arrangements. Emails were often unanswered for several days, even with the branch manager copied in, and we frequently had to escalate or call to get a response.<br><br>We were also given incorrect information about the property. We were initially told it was electric-only, whereas the property actually has both gas and electricity.<br><br>The Goodlord payment process was particularly confusing and stressful. A blocking/holding deposit of £311.54 had already been paid on 27 June. We subsequently paid the full deposit individually through Goodlord, but the portal did not provide a clear explanation of how the previous payment had been accounted for. We also had to make the deposit payments separately rather than being able to make one payment from a single bank account.<br><br>We repeatedly asked the agency for a clear written breakdown of the deposit, first month’s rent, payments already made and, most importantly, where the initial £311.54 payment had been accounted for. Despite asking for clarification, we received no timely response and were left trying to understand the figures ourselves. This was particularly concerning because these were significant financial transactions, and we simply wanted confirmation that we were not paying anything twice or losing any money.<br><br>Although the tenancy was eventually completed, the process was unnecessarily stressful and required far too much chasing from our side.<br><br>For a letting agency, accurate information, clear communication and transparency around payments are fundamental. Unfortunately, our experience fell well short of what we would expect.

The appointments were set up on the same day so visits were one in, one out viewing the house. It worked ever so well and we were kept informed via email. The whole team was excellent and I would certainly recommend them to sell your house.

Shana brought us several well-qualified offers quickly, answered our questions promptly, and coordinated the painting, cleaning and inventory so everything was ready for the move-in date.
