Their expert advice, particularly when the initial sale chain fell through, enabled us to quickly find another buyer and complete the process without any further issues. Everyone at the office was courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they always replied promptly to our queries and phone calls. I would highly recommend Walkers and would not hesitate to use their services again.

He was also great and responsive during the biding stage, making a stressful time go smoothly. Balgores staff were excellent in the sales progression stage, with Joe keep things moving at a pace. 1st May 2026 (8 days ago)I come home to find my garden gate broken. They came onto my property without permission. Worked on the neighbours house upstairs setup scaffolding and took it down. The agent should have contacted me if they need access. Really frustrated as i come back home from work to find my property damaged. You cannot come onto my land or property without permission. Their phone lines closed so i now have to go through the night with entry points for thieves to access my property property

She clearly knew the market and the area to give us the best guidance to put in a successful offer on our new home. The building site was very restricted for additional viewings, but Emma was very cooperative for us to gain access, and for trades to arrange dates with her to measure up. Invaluable for us to have a successful and easy move. Thank you Emma, you really did make the difference to our purchase.

After a tenant dropped out at the last minute, Elle had it back in the market within a day and let by the end of the following working day! She has really taken the stress out of the process and I am grateful for her strong communication skills - even when there was nothing update, she has let me know, which I found really useful (rather than just wondering what was going on). I look forward to continuing to work with Elle and for her taking away the stress of renting the property out!

From the initial contact, they arranged and carried out all the viewings too, which was an absolute godsend to us! SJ Warren have been extremely polite, and courteous and always answered any queries we may have had. We would not hesitate in recommending these agents for a property sale.

9th Mar 2026 (9 weeks ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.

Selling our detached family home in Harlow (£700k–£800k range) was a long and frustrating journey until it wasn't. We interviewed over 10 agents before appointing Fortune & Coates. Glossy brochure, compelling pitch but after months on the market, no offers, pressure to reduce and persuaded us to sign with them by asserting that they could achieve a higher sale price for our home. We switched to Douglas Allen. Same story. More months, no offers and mounting pressure to drop significantly. We were deflated and questioning everything ?????? Then we found Durden & Hunt and everything changed for us ?????? Alex was exceptional from the start. Knowledgeable, personable and refreshingly honest. He asked brilliant questions, listened carefully and gave us a clear-eyed read of the market with no spin whatsoever. Alex explained that the strategies used by our previous agents were ineffective and crucially, he told us why. The optimal approach he advised is to list slightly below market value to generate strong interest and competitive demand allowing the market to determine true worth organically. He also cautioned that overpricing a property stifles interest and can lead buyers to question whether something is wrong. ?????? His assessment proved to be exactly right. He has stayed in close contact and continued offering genuine advice on our next property purchase something he has absolutely no obligation to do. In an industry where attention disappears once contracts are exchanged, that level of care is extraordinarily rare and deeply appreciated. Jane Lewis is quite simply, a rare gem ?????? Exceptionally knowledgeable, wonderfully warm and so genuinely kind. She qualifies every opportunity meticulously, ensuring only serious buyers came through our door. Her approach, her manner and her dedication are things you have to experience to truly appreciate. Words don't do her justice ?????? We listed early October. Less than four weeks later we had multiple offers. By early November it was agreed at the price we had originally hoped for ? Looking back, the lesson is clear?????? An overvaluation might feel flattering but it's a trap. It stalls momentum, erodes buyer confidence and costs you time and potentially money that you can't get back. Alex and Jane didn't tell us what we wanted to hear. They told us what we needed to hear and that honesty is exactly what sold our home at the price we always believed it deserved ?????? If you're in the Harlow or Epping area and serious about selling, please learn from our experience. Don't make the tour of the market that we did before finding the right answer. Go to Durden & Hunt first and ask for Alex and Jane. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and everyone. You will be in the very best of hands ?????? 22nd Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Overpromised, underdelivered... Did nothing other than put a poor listing up on rightmove. After advising them on a better way to do it, they didnt. The initial conversation made it sound like a guaranteed sale as they are the best agent... Also, didnt take listing down after telling them i wasnt happy and wanted it removed. This naturally has a negative impact on sale.
27th Apr 2026 (12 days ago)I was recommended to Balgores Estate Agents, Wickford office by my friend Liz, and despite a hard long slog to sell my parents home I am greatful she did and I cannot fault the service that the Balgores team provided. The sale suffered several setbacks and numerous delays, all outside the control of Balgores, but despite this the team dusted themselves off every time and renewed their efforts. Special mention to both Ewan and Georgia for excellent communication and sheer bloody-minded perseverance getting us over the line. For professionalism and customer service I would highly recommend Balgores.

What could have been a difficult experience was made easier by feeling able to ask lots of questions without judgement. Jess in particular helped me through to completion once an offer was made. She was always happy to help and kept me informed.
