16th Aug 2026 (7 days ago)We originally bought our house through Charters, who happened to be the selling agent, and were so impressed by how well we were looked after as buyers that, when it came to selling our home, we knew we wanted to go back to them.<br><br>Toby was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He genuinely treated our house as if it were his own, taking the time to understand all the little details and personal touches that made it special to us. He kept us completely in the loop with feedback throughout and worked hard to make sure we found the right buyers for our much-loved home, not simply the quickest sale.<br><br>We really felt that Toby cared about getting the right result for us, and his personal approach made the whole process so much easier. We couldn’t recommend Toby and the Charters of Alton team highly enough.

I was kept up to date along the way, all the staff are so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Lisa who really helped when things got a little sticky, without her chasing I’m sure it would have taken much longer.

A good estate agent facilitates the communication between the vendor and purchaser, and their solicitors. Sam has been brilliant at keeping things moving along. This was particularly due to Molly who guided us through the process and was always just a phone call away. She was so helpful and answered any questions we had and was always very friendly and put us at ease!<br>I would highly recommend this estate agents to anyone!

During that time I've used a number of different residential letting agents most of whom have been breathtakingly average on their good days. The team at Pearsons do not belong to this group. They are good. They are professional. They are easy to deal with. They have my unreserved thanks and I recommend them without reservation.

Honest, proactive and always quick to respond, she had her eye across our purchase and sale, communication was great. Would highly recommend.
5th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)I would strongly advise anyone considering renting through Leaders to read the terms and conditions very carefully and proceed with caution.<br><br>My experience as a tenant was extremely disappointing and caused me a tremendous amount of stress, to the point that it affected my health. There were numerous administrative errors at the end of my tenancy, and I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to correct mistakes that should never have happened in the first place.<br><br>I paid monthly fees for the deposit replacement scheme throughout my tenancy, only to discover that it offered virtually no benefit whatsoever at the end of the tenancy. This was never explained. Despite leaving the property in an excellent condition (landlord repeatedly stated I made it look amazing) and carrying out a thorough deep clean, I was still charged for professional cleaning.<br><br>I also left the property a couple of months before the end of the tenancy. Although a new tenant was found the day after I gave notice, meaning the property did not need to be advertised or remain vacant, I was still charged £899.<br><br>In total, I was charged more than £1,100 at the end of the tenancy, despite having already paid almost £2,000 into the deposit replacement scheme over the course of the tenancy, money that I never recovered and from which I saw no benefit.<br><br>To make matters worse, further administrative errors resulted in my landlady and guarantor being informed that I had failed to pay rent when, in fact, I had paid the amount due. This was both embarrassing and completely unacceptable.<br><br>Based on my experience, tenants are not treated fairly, communication is extremely poor, and mistakes can have serious financial consequences. I would encourage prospective tenants to be extremely careful and ensure they fully understand every charge before signing anything. The estate agents need to learn from this massive failing and improve things going forward.

He made what was, potentially, a stressful experience simple and easy. Do look into engaging them if you are considering selling - you won’t be disappointed.
18th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)This has genuinely been the worst experience I have ever had with any estate agent. Having been both a homeowner, a landlord and a tenant over the years, I have dealt with plenty of property professionals. I have never experienced a company that has caused this level of unnecessary stress, frustration and conflict.<br><br>Throughout my tenancy, repairs that were clearly the landlord's responsibility were repeatedly delayed despite constant chasing. When contractors were finally instructed, some later contacted me directly because they were struggling to get paid by Bourne and asked me to assist. I also found myself repeatedly having to defend myself against accusations that I had failed to communicate with contractors or had somehow caused delays. On more than one occasion I had to produce complete email chains, WhatsApp messages and text conversations to demonstrate that what I was being accused of was simply incorrect.<br><br>The end of my tenancy has been even worse. I have repeatedly been told that I am contractually required to do things that, after carefully reviewing my signed tenancy agreement, simply are not required.<br><br>Whenever I have challenged these demands, instead of receiving a professional explanation, I have felt intimidated, spoken down to and placed under unnecessary pressure. Time and time again I have had to refer Bourne back to their own tenancy agreement and provide documentary evidence to correct information I had been given. No tenant should have to spend their time proving that an estate agent is wrong about the very contract they are administering.<br><br>The overwhelming impression throughout my tenancy has been an organisation more interested in creating pressure than resolving problems. Rather than acting as a professional intermediary between landlord and tenant, I have found Bourne to be confrontational, dismissive and, at times, wholly unreasonable.<br><br>My advice to anyone considering using Bourne Estate Agents is simple: keep every conversation in writing, retain every email, text message and WhatsApp conversation, and read your tenancy agreement yourself rather than relying on what you are told. In my experience, it is the only way to protect yourself.<br><br>Without question, this has been the most stressful and disappointing experience I have ever had with an estate agent, and I would never choose to use Bourne Estate Agents again or recommend them to anyone.

They sold my property incredibly quickly and achieved the full asking price, with the whole process from listing to completion taking less than four months.<br><br>All of the viewings were handled smoothly, and throughout the process Tom, the manager, and especially Chloe were fantastic. I dealt with Chloe regularly and she was always incredibly helpful, responsive and kept me updated at every stage, which made what can be a stressful process feel much easier.<br><br>We were really impressed with the level of service and how efficiently everything was handled. Luci works hard and is there whenever you need advice. She kept us updated at all stages of the sale and as others have said she is down to earth, honest and understands the market. 23rd Jul 2026 (4 weeks ago)We chose Romans to sell my late Mother's property because of a previous positive experience. Manager Alfie and his team were excellent throughout and Harry, who handled most of the viewings, was really helpful, professional and gave great feedback from potential buyers. Unfortunately, through no fault of Roman's or ourselves, we lost our first buyer, but the advice to immediately re-market and to do so in a way that would increase the catchment, brought 6 viewings the very next day along with 3 offers, one of which we accepted and who is now the new owner. We had Catherine McNicholas appointed as our move manager and wow, what a great coordinator she was as she worked with us, our buyer and the solicitors, answering questions, chasing up the various documents and "Just being there when we needed her!! I have no hesitation in recommending Roman's, excellent customer service.
