26th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I’ve just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had with an estate agent after enquiring about a rental property through Mortimers in Clitheroe. I received a call to go through some pre-qualifying questions and was asked whether I had any adverse credit history. I answered honestly and explained my circumstances. The response I got was incredibly rude and dismissive — I was immediately informed that I would fail referencing and that I can’t even apply for any of their properties. I explained that I am now debt free, earn more than enough to comfortably afford the rent, have an excellent rental history, can provide references, and even have a guarantor available if required. None of that mattered. I was flat-out refused before even being allowed to view or formally apply for the property in question. What makes this even more frustrating is being told they would consider applicants currently in debt, but not someone who has had debt written off and has since rebuilt their finances responsibly. That logic makes absolutely no sense. The overall tone of the conversation was extremely judgemental and degrading. I was spoken to as though I was beneath consideration from the moment I answered honestly. There was absolutely no empathy, professionalism or willingness to discuss options. I appreciate landlords and agents need criteria but that is extreme and circumstances should be judged individually. There’s a way to speak to people respectfully — and this was not it.
25th Jun 2026 (11 days ago)Abbie is a lovely estate agent and came across Abbie as a professional she explains the whole process of moving into a rented property's without any failures and seems to be a knowledgeable lady like she knows what she's doing when renting out properties to tenants I must admit that Abbie is patient, she explains the process of renting properties in a professional manner. I also would like to give a shout out to Hayley king too they both are awesome and I have received full on professionalism from both Abbie and Hayley king so I wish both Abbie and Hayley all the very best for future years to come I would definitely recommend Abbie and Hayley.
24th Mar 2026 (15 weeks ago)Unprofessional agents stating incorrect legal clauses. Poor communication. I will not be buying an estate or selling with them in the future. I will be contacting sellers directly making offers that exclude this agent.

From the very beginning to the day we received our keys, the team were excellent with communication and always kept us informed. A special thank you to Merry Kate, who was absolutely brilliant throughout the process. She was proactive, supportive, and went above and beyond to help complete the sale within our timeframe. We would not hesitate to use Sutton Kersh again in the future and would highly recommend their services to anyone buying or selling a property.

Living over in Poland, I was a bit nervous about how things would go, but regular updates and friendly advice really put my mind at ease.<br>It meant a lot to be kept informed every step of the way, especially since this was my first time selling a house in England. Erin has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process, from organising viewings, keeping us up to date on the progress and with the property we were buying being in a slightly unusal circumstance she was really helpful in making sure we understood the scenario and what needed to be done. From the first time I booked a viewing (I viewed quite a few, too!) to completion, every person I spoke to was so helpful. Kept informed of everything throughout and nothing was too much trouble. Its been a long process due to solicitor delays which meant a lot of intense activity in the final week. The staff at Bridgford's, especially Destiny worked hard to help get the sale through. They earnt their fees and we are very grateful. I would not use a faceless online agency.

24th Jun 2026 (12 days ago)I was a tenant under this managing agent at Elizabeth Tower in Deansgate.<br><br>Unfortunately my experience was a very disappointing one. We vacated the apartment over a month ago and our deposit still has not been returned. The whole process has been unnecessarily slow, with poor communication, unanswered calls and delayed responses, meaning we have had to chase repeatedly just to get an update.<br><br>The proposed deductions were also extremely frustrating. Some related to works that had not actually been carried out, including a cleaning charge despite new tenants having already moved into the property. There were also proposed charges for items left in the apartment, even though we had written confirmation that those items were to be left for the incoming tenants.<br><br>We were also falsely accused of causing damage. When I pointed this out and provided clear evidence, they simply removed it from their original deduction amount, which makes me question how the deductions were being calculated in the first place and whether anything was properly checked before charges were proposed.<br><br>On top of that, we helped source the new tenants ourselves, who already lived in the building. This saved the landlord and agent advertising time, marketing costs and avoided a potential void period. Even after going out of our way to do that, we have still been left chasing for updates and feel we have not been treated fairly.<br><br>The whole deposit process has been stressful, drawn out and poorly handled, and we are still waiting for our money back. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this managing agent.

Buying a home felt quite daunting at times, but she was always friendly, approachable, and happy to answer my many questions.<br><br>Having Gabrielle as my main point of contact throughout made such a difference, and her knowledge and reassurance helped make the whole process much less stressful.
