From the very beginning, the team was supportive, professional, and approachable throughout the whole process. We first met Ed, who guided us through our house viewings. He was very professional and well prepared, always able to give honest answers to our questions. He also played a crucial role in helping us during the negotiation of our offer. We decided to use the broker they recommended, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Hermione was extremely professional and attentive, always kind and patient with all of our questions. She worked hard to find answers and support us throughout the process. There were some difficulties and delays along the way, but she kept us informed whenever there were updates and directed us to the right people when needed. The broker also helped us arrange our insurances and our will, which was incredibly helpful at a time when there were so many things to organise. Gary handled the liaison between us and the seller, and he did a great job keeping communication clear and moving things forward. Thank you all for the great work. We would definitely use Brown and Merry again in the future if we require estate agent services. The whole team was both professional and genuinely human, understanding the emotions their clients go through during such an important process.

11th Mar 2026 (7 days ago)My partner and I are first time buyers and spoke with Craig Legge very early on with little to no knowledge of the process and he has been incredibly helpful and informative throughout. From initial discussions early in the process to submitting our mortgage application and offer acceptance. Even after our offer has been made he continues to offer support with any questions and I cannot recommend him enough. We have had a brilliant process with Perry Bishop throughout and everyone has been amazing!

9th Mar 2026 (9 days ago)I am extremely frustrated with this company and their lack of enthusiasm and professionalism in their efforts to sell our house. The feedback they provide is always, “They like the house, but…”. I feel they show little to no genuine interest in getting our property sold. I can attest to this based on my own experience viewing houses with them. On those occasions, they have simply stood in silence while we looked around, offering no input or effort to highlight the property’s features. I believe this lack of salesmanship is a key reason our house is not selling. After just two weeks on the market, they suggested reducing the price. When we agreed to a percentage reduction, they then dragged their heels and pushed for a further decrease, claiming the price would otherwise “look strange”. We have two young boys, which already makes arranging viewings challenging. Last minute cancellations and the failure to provide accurate information to prospective buyers continuously waste our time. Most recently, we viewed a property and were not informed that it had been sold the very next day again, a complete waste of our time.

The entire team is a pleasure to deal with, particularly Nick, George and Nicolette, who are always professional, proactive and incredibly supportive.
7th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)Living abroad necessitates us having a fully managed service for our house with Scott Fraser, we are therefore reliant on the relationship we have with our property manager to keep us updated and to act on our behalf as & when the need arises. For the past year or so, we have had the good fortune to have Simon Butt as our property manager. During this time Simon has displayed professional, courteous, knowledgeable and very pro-active attributes. We had the misfortune to have issues with a tenant who instigated an early termination that eventually had to go through arbitration. Simon provided us with excellent support during the whole process & provided a wealth of documented evidence to the arbitrators to backup our case, resulting in the positive outcome of our claim. I have exchanged e-mail messages & spoken on the telephone with Simon numerous times since he became our property manager. He is equally adept at written & verbal communication. His whole persona displays a high level of empathy & genuine willingness to help, he has a way of making any issue seem manageable and truly has gone that "extra mile" to ensure that we have been totally happy with & have fully understood the information he has provided. Having Simon as our property manager has given us a trusted, professional & friendly point of contact for all rental matters regarding our property & tenants. In the 14 years that we have been landlords, we have dealt with numerous estate agents & property managers, I have never before felt as comfortable with or experienced the level of support & commitment that we receive from Simon. Thank you Simon for everything you have done & continue to do.

Lillie and Danielle were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Communication was clear and timely throughout, and they were always happy to answer questions or offer honest advice. I felt confident I was in good hands the whole way through. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or Chancellors to others.

18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

14th Mar 2026 (4 days ago)Really disappointing experience. My partner rented a property that was heavily affected by ongoing anti-social behaviour, which made living there very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the property manager, Bradley Lusted, was often unavailable and extremely difficult to reach when issues needed to be addressed. On top of that, once the tenancy ended there was a significant lack of transparency and communication regarding the deposit. It was unclear what was happening and responses were slow or nonexistent. Overall, the lack of support, communication, and accountability made the whole experience frustrating and stressful.
