21st Aug 2026 (3 days ago)Terrible agent<br><br>I went to view a house last week. I had no contact from the estate agent to ask me for feedback, so I resorted to submitting an offer by email. I got a receipt saying they had accepted my offer, and that was it nothing more.<br><br>I didn't hear anything for over a week, so I sent a courtesy email to them asking for an update, to which I received an out-of-office notice from the 'senior negotiator' with no sign that my message had been passed on. So I sent my follow-up email to the office instead.<br><br>6 hours later a got a phone call saying they had taken another offer from someone else.<br><br>At no point was I informed of any offers, or the seller's situation and how they will be dealing with offers, which in this process is valuable information.<br><br>In reality, I could improve my offer, had a solicitor ready to act, and a mortgage in place and a deposit, which make me a low-risk buyer.<br><br>I find this lack of communication poor when dealing with people's emotions and money. I understand I lost out to a cash buyer, which is understandable as that is a good position to be in. My frustrations aren't with the seller but the estate agent as this does not account for their poor/lack of communication through the process

She has always been happy to explain and answer all my questions and believe me I could test the patience of a saint! In fact, she has been so professional, pleasant and easy going that I think of her as a friend. I feel she is very valuable member of the team. An absolute delight and I think you should feel very lucky to have her in your employ.

Took the initiative to constantly chase things up and provide updates without the need for me to ask making it very stress free. Would highly recommend Sue and the team and would use them myself again in the future without a second thought.
7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)We had an excellent experience selling our home with Naish. The estimate, photography, marketing etc were all of a very high standard, and they were generally good at making themselves available to conduct viewings - sundays were the only days they couldn’t accommodate. We received an offer at our target price a couple of weeks after going on the market, in a generally sluggish climate, so were very pleased. Jade provided a lot of support that we weren’t expecting, eg advice and support around our onward purchase as well as our sale, which was wonderful. Kim stayed in good touch with us once the sale was agreed, and was extremely quick to respond whenever we had a question about our sale or our buyers. I would strongly recommend going with Naish to sell your property.

11th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)I let 2 properties with kings estate agents and I can't praise them enough.they go above and beyond and are always on hand to help and guide you. They find excellent tennants manage the properties, they communicate everything to me that I need to know and bother me with things I don't. There fees are excellent for work they do. 1st Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)I sold my flat with Jenna a few months ago. She was so helpful in helping me through the process, brilliant in communication and always responded quickly. It was a leasehold which was an absolute nightmare to sell, but she found a buyer with a price that I was happy with. She managed to help me when my tenants left, she went above and beyond to sort out a furniture issue where things were left outside in the communal areas and also gave me meter readings as I live far from the property. She even helped me with sorting out a gas man and electrician when there was an issue. 5 stars, thank you so much Jenna.

We sold our property within days of the property going live and this was certainly helped by the property description and the 360 degree virtual reality tour. Andrew is highly professional and knowledgeable, plus he is supported by an expert team.
21st Apr 2026 (18 weeks ago)They persuaded me to sell with them after massively marking up my home. This meant we were viewing properties out of our reach and that in a matter of weeks they asked for a £20k drop to our asking price. This meant we could not move on as hoped so we had to withdraw. Basically I lost £600 in advertising and cancellation fees. If I’d had an accurate valuation in the first place I would never have put it on the market.

I made an online enquiry on Monday, received a call back on Tuesday, arranged a viewing for Thursday, and by Friday we had paid the holding deposit. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and well organised. We loved the property and were very impressed with how the viewing was conducted. Daniel, who assisted us throughout, did an excellent job. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing all the information we needed about the property and clearly explaining the next steps. His communication was prompt and reassuring throughout the process. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Martin & Co Sheffield to anyone looking for their next home. 4th Aug 2026 (20 days ago)We used Paul recently to sell our house. From the valuation right up until moving day Paul was there for support. Paul valued our house fairly and sold it on the first day of viewings. Paul is set apart from other local agents because he is available at the peak times when people aren't at work such as weekends and evenings for viewings. He is also available at any point to discuss any concerns or answer questions. He kept us updated all the way through and really kept everything moving. Paul also has a lot of knowledge about properties he sells (we also viewed one with him). Most importantly he is honest and transparent. We can not recommend him highly enough.
15th Aug 2026 (9 days ago)We sold a house through Shankland Barraclough. We found them helpful, straightforward and efficient even through difficult times. Even at the start, our valuation by them was much more realistic than other estate agents (one too low, one crazily high). When it came to selling and buying, we found ourselves in a chain of seven and it took seven months. Throughout that time they stayed in touch, giving us regular updates, despite a change of staff. I believe that Shankland Barraclough and our seller's estate agent prevented the chain from falling apart, as most of the other estate agents in the chain were very difficult to get hold of. They even gave our buyers information that they couldn't get from their own estate agent! Both Liz and Clare were exemplary and a pleasure to talk to. They were amazingly helpful, calm, persistent and excellent at chasing people up. Many, many thanks from us to the whole team - we couldn't have wished for a better service! It’s when it gets tough that you realise how good a company is and Shankland Barraclough proved their worth again and again!
