31st Jul 2026 (24 days ago)I couldn't be happier with the service and support I received from Elisha at W H Brown Haxby.<br><br>We had an incredibly stressful time during the purchase of one of their properties, and throughout the whole process Elisha was the one person who truly dug in and did everything she could to help us. She went above and beyond in what was a very difficult situation, always taking the time to offer advice, keep us updated, and fight our corner whenever she could.<br><br>Her communication was outstanding from start to finish. Even though she's clearly a very busy lady, she always made time for us and was only ever a phone call or email away. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help meant so much to me and my family during such a challenging time.<br><br>I honestly can't praise Elisha enough for all of her hard work, dedication, and support. She is a real credit to W H Brown, and I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for us. If you're buying or selling a property they are all great but I would highly recommend asking for Elisha – she's absolutely fantastic.
28th Jul 2026 (27 days ago)We chose Ian at Hunters as we knew he is the expert on all things Haxby and Wigginton. He knows everyone in the village and has really good recommendations for anything that pops up during the moving process. We were in a really long, and complicated chain. Ian kept us updated, before our solicitors did. And had everyone involved in an email round robin. He chased people on our behalf, and reminded us when we needed to do things. He made a complicated, stressful process a little bit easier as I knew I could trust him.

Whenever an issue is reported, the agency relies entirely on unverified assertions from their contractors, immediately trying to shift blame and financial responsibility onto the tenant rather than carrying out proper, independent assessments.<br><br>Instead of treating tenants fairly and recognizing basic wear-and-tear or low-quality components, they choose to make tenants look like the bad party. They need to drastically improve their professional diligence, hold their contractors accountable, and start treating their tenants with respect.

9th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)Unfortunately I was unable to sell my property with Harvey Brooks with only 1 viewing in 8 months.- 7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)A fantastic service from Harley Banks the mortgage advisor, he demonstrated his understanding and knowledge of a wide wage of mortgages available, finding the best available rates and offers at the time of purchase. Not only was he dealing with a new residential property for me and my partner, but also looking into buy to let mortgages for my current property, along with remortgaging other properties. Taking on the difficulties we encounted, he still went above and beyond to give the best advice to move forward with all mortgage applications. I will certainly be using him again.

11th Aug 2026 (13 days ago)Extremely poor experience. Belvoir were consistently slow and unresponsive, and the handling of my deposit was particularly disappointing. They waited until the very last day of the deadline to submit their proposed deductions, unnecessarily prolonging the process and leaving me waiting for my own money.<br><br>For a relatively small amount, the amount of chasing and hassle was completely unreasonable. I found the whole process dishonest and unprofessional, and I would not recommend Belvoir to any tenant.

I arranged a house valuation and received email and text confirmations stating the appointment was booked and that I only needed to contact them if I needed to cancel.<br><br>An hour before the viewing, I was told it had been cancelled because I hadn’t reconfirmed. I later found a voicemail giving me just 45 minutes to confirm—despite this requirement never being mentioned in any of the previous messages.<br><br>I had made sure I was home and prepared the house for the agreed time. A complete waste of my time. If confirmation was required, they should have clearly communicated this rather than expecting customers to read their minds.

4th Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)Very disappointing experience with GR Estates. First, there is no way to actually speak to them on the phone — when I called, a voice message specifically stated that you cannot call them directly and I had to leave a message instead. For an estate agency, that is ridiculous.<br><br>I was visiting Ormskirk from another part of the UK and only in the area for a few hours. While driving in the area, I spotted a property I was interested in, so I made the effort to drive to their branch in person. I was met by a saleswoman from their team, who was cold and frankly snooty. Every question I asked was met with a long-winded "no" and zero useful information.<br><br>I am a seasoned property investor, part of the largest property network in the UK and Europe, and I regularly buy houses. Through their unhelpfulness and her dismissive attitude, they have lost not just my business but business from my wider network. I will not be using GR Estates again, and based on my experience I couldn't recommend them to anyone.

20th Dec 2025 (8 mo. ago)The Boston Spa team at Monroe have been wonderful throughout our sale and purchase. As a firm they don’t simply rely on RightMove, but instead Monroe offer a wealth of potential buyers who they take the time to match with the right property. Communication has been excellent, with good commercial and supportive advice always available. Monroe took time to learn about our house and delivered continuity with both viewings and feedback. Once we had agreed a sale Monroe’s sales progression coordinator ensured that all solicitors in our chain were kept in the loop and that potential delays were unblocked by exceptional communication skills. Having used a number of estate agents over the years we have never had such an excellent service and enjoyable experience as we have with the team at Monroe. He went above and beyond throughout the whole process. He was incredibly contactable and responded extremely quickly. No question or query was too much for him and he made the whole process as smooth as possible due to his communication. He gave us excellent advice when it came to offer price and also sale price and he helped us negotiate on price when the survey flagged some issues requiring repair. Shaz genuinely cares about both the buyer and vendor in this process, which makes a huge difference compared to other estate agents we have interacted with over the years. If we ever move house again in the future we will be using EweMove again and I will be recommending them and Shaz to anyone else I know planning a move!
