4th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)We found the whole team at Farrow & Farrow very polite and helpful. The whole selling process is very emotive and the advice given about marketing and presenting our property was incredibly beneficial. The house write up by Peter was exceptional and the photographs by Emma showed the property off perfectly. Along side a powerful marketing video using photos, video and drones. Viewings held by Emma were informative and her ability to remember all the details was outstanding. The house is a unique 250yr old converted farmhouse in the challenging top end of the market therefore took some time to sell but all the team remained encouraging and worked tirelessly to find a buyer. Peter even took time to show us all the aspects of how they promote and sell properties which was encouraging for us. Somehow as busy as they are we always felt apart of the process and we were delighted of course when a new buyer was found. We cannot thank the team enough for helping sell our property.

12th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)We spent months trying to sell our house in Chadderton with Ryder & Dutton, and unfortunately, the communication just wasn’t there. It was often difficult to get through on the phone or get an answer, and we sometimes felt like just another number.<br><br>Then we switched to Cowell, and what a difference! Our house sold within a month, and the whole experience was so much more positive. The team were helpful, proactive and really kept things moving, even helping to speed things up with the solicitors to get us to completion.<br><br>Harry came out to value our house, and he was great from the start! Really friendly, enthusiastic and transparent. The video tour he did was fantastic, and the photographer also did an amazing job with the pictures.<br><br>And then there’s Leah! Honestly, we cannot recommend her enough. She has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. Selling a house can be stressful, but she made everything feel so much easier. She was always so helpful and supportive, and we genuinely appreciate everything she did for us.<br><br>Of course, selling a house always involves an element of luck, as you need to find the right buyer, but good communication, transparency and support from your estate agent make such a huge difference throughout the process. For us, it wasn’t just about selling the house; it was about having a team who communicated well, cared and went the extra mile. Cowell really delivered on all of that!<br><br>A massive thank you to Harry, Leah and the whole team. 29th Jul 2026 (13 weeks ago)Well when you call a voice recording says they are base on their reputation and well sadly I cant say its a good one booked to view a house and waited and had to phone in the end and it wasn't booked in which in my opinion its not professional and feel very disappointed

16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)We bought our house through Wainwrights. Rachel worked out our needs and found us the perfect house, after a few false starts. Great communication also, from Layla, keeping us updated regularly, even when our selling agent and solicitors, both of whom we were paying, couldn't seem to communicate with anyone at all, until they were chased. Wainwrights guided us through 8 months of sheer hell, at no cost to us, as the buyers. Why is it so difficult to buy a house in 2026 ? I'm sure it was easier with quill and ink !

They went out of their way to help and assist us, and even spent the best part of 2 hours in the office when my brother and I were having issues with the previous agency, trying to squeeze money out of us for unnecessary fines, and helped restore our faith in the business of selling our parents house. Highly recommended ??????

He has always been happy to help with any questions, offer advice and provide support whenever needed. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and his friendly, professional approach has made the whole experience so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for better service and would highly recommend Rob to anyone looking to sell their property.

They set up a Whatsapp group to keep us informed of progress and were very quick to respond to any questions we asked. They were polite and courteous whilst friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt listened to and valued throughout. Our house was marketed very promptly, the photographs and information were superb. The cherry on the cake - the house was sold within 2 days of advertising, above the asking price! I would urge anyone selling their property to contact W&J Properties - you won't be disappointed!

5th Oct 2026 (22 days ago)The level of communication, organisation and professionalism throughout this process has been absolutely appalling.<br><br>We viewed property nearly 5 weeks ago and on the very same day as our viewing we said that we wanted to proceed and asked for the application forms.<br><br>The property was advertised as council tax band D but I questioned this and it was in fact council tax band A.<br><br>It then took three working days for them to send the application — and only after we chased them.<br><br>We completed and returned everything, yet it took another three working days for them to even acknowledge that they had received our application.<br><br>Then, almost three weeks after we had viewed the property, the landlord contacted us asking whether we had actually viewed it. We chased the estate agent and were told that our application had been sent to the landlord. The landlord subsequently told us that he had not received it.<br><br>We were then told they would begin the referencing process. More delays followed.<br><br>Over a week ago, they sent our guarantor the incorrect paperwork. When we chased them about it, we were told that the director was on annual leave and they couldn’t send the correct paperwork until he returned at the end of the week.<br><br>Then, this morning, after nearly five weeks since our viewing, we were simply told that the property had gone to someone else.<br><br>The entire process has been a catalogue of delays, poor communication, conflicting information and excuses. We repeatedly had to chase for basic updates and paperwork. At no point did we feel that our application was being dealt with professionally or with any urgency.<br><br>What makes this particularly frustrating is that we were ready and willing to proceed from the day we viewed the property. We were able to move in to the property immediately. We completed what was required of us, yet somehow our application spent weeks being passed around while we were left chasing for information.<br><br>I completely understand that properties can go to other applicants — that isn’t the issue. The issue is the unacceptable way this application was handled and the lack of honesty, communication and urgency throughout.<br><br>After nearly five weeks of being led to believe the application was progressing, being told different things by different people and repeatedly having to chase them, being told this morning that the property has gone to someone else is extremely disappointing.<br><br>I would absolutely not recommend this estate agent. If you are looking to rent a property, be prepared to constantly chase them and don’t expect clear or timely communication.<br><br>A very stressful experience made considerably worse by the people who were supposed to be handling the process and now leaving me with a week to find another property before my notice from my current house is up after 13 years living here for their son to move in.
