9th May 2026 (0 days ago)Generally very good to deal with. Valuation was on the low side. I requested it being marketed higher and received an offer above their valuation quite quickly which Im proceeding with. This was a first time buyer with mortgage in place.

2nd May 2026 (7 days ago)Not sure what you have to do to qualify to get on the list at Bakewell and Horner. But even with the new Law that only came in Yesterday. I am still getting emails saying. Sorry you have not made the Shortlist. Its a shame really as there are so many of us just trying to find a home. But every application I have made with Bakewell the computer always says NO. Hmmmmm

1st May 2026 (8 days ago)It’s hard to describe the poor service we have received from Northwood. If you are a tenant and your hot water goes off, please be prepared to wait at least 6 weeks + for this to be fixed. They outsource their maintenance to a company that is incapable of sourcing anything quickly (we have been left over 4 weeks now without a washing machine and are still waiting for this to be resolved). When this has happened in the past with a different letting agent, this was sorted within 2 days. You can try chasing Northwood to get an update but you will be met with people saying they will get back to you the same day and never do. If you are a landlord and are looking to let Northwood manage your property, I would highly suggest you DO NOT use them. If we didn’t love where we live so much, their service is enough to make us move.

13th Apr 2026 (26 days ago)Firstly, for block management I'd give 7 stars if I could - in particular Debs is outstanding, top tier communication, and is on top of all issues, absolutely could not fault Debs and Northwood for this. I also use Northwood for managed tenancy, and would love to give 5 stars, as in most areas they have been brilliant, but are occasionally let down by timely communication and follow up, which can be frustrating. Overall though, they are much better than any other agents we have used, and would personally recommend them.
15th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I have recently rented out my home through Lesley Hooks with the help of Claire & Charlie! Something that i thought was a daunting experienced turned out to be stress free and easy because of these two! I was really nervous with it being my first time and they explained all the things i needed to get in place and guided me through every step. It felt easy having them explain it all to me, they had all the contacts for all the certificates i needed and advised me on the landlord insurer they recommend. Lesley came to my property to take the photos and she was lovely! Her knowledge and experience is amazing. Claire really made me feel like i was in safe hands as she managed all my viewings of the property and kept me updated. Finding a tenant with Claire really took away my concerns and anxiety about the whole situation and she really did help me find the perfect couple for my home! I cannot recommend the experience i've had with Lesley Hooks enough simply because of these girls! They made the experience comfortable & easy, nothing was too much hassle for them and i didn't feel stressed like i thought i would! I actually ended up enjoying the experience of becoming a landlord for the first time in the end and i don't think i would have if i didn't have their help and guidance. Thank you Claire & Charlie for all your help!

9th Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)We sold our house 3yrs ago we had 3 valuation and Karl tatler was the middle of the valuation so went with them. I specifically asked if I went with them I didnt want a board outside my house and they agreed, the following day a board appeared outside our house, we were out so didnt see it till we came back. I phoned them the very next day to complain & they said they would take it down as I said the damage was done so left it, just shows they do not listen to your wishes.
22nd Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Thank you to everyone at BFL! My house move from start to finish was drawn out, and very stressful, but BFL made it easier throughout! From me making the wrong decision and going with another estate agent, to coming back to BFL, to the date of completion, BFL were proactive, organised and communicative. I truly believe everything would have fell through, if not for their incredible and hard work. My only regret is not choosing them sooner. They went above and beyond the entire time, such as chasing other solicitors in the chain, and having to deal with my not so nice neighbours calling them. They handled everything professionally and efficiently. I will be forever grateful!

Great service from start to finish - from making an appointment, viewing property to going through the buying process. Highly recommend buying a house from them.

Loads of local knowledge, professional advice and felt friendly and honest. From first viewing I felt like I was in good hands, right up until completion when they accommodated a last minute viewing before exchange and went over and above to sort keys. Don’t usually get this level of service as a purchaser. Thanks again!

Would highly recommend as they are a reputable estate agents with a long standing good reputation and now after choosing them I can see why! Thanks so much ????????????
