14th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)Avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill Lettings – Unprofessional and Negligent We’ve rented through Brennan Ayre O’Neill for the past 14 months, and it has been a consistently frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. This review specifically concerns their lettings department, not their estate agency, as we’ve had no dealings with that side. Communication is virtually non-existent. From the beginning, responses were slow and inconsistent. At one point, they didn’t even show up for a scheduled property inspection with no notice or follow-up. This lack of reliability became a recurring issue throughout the tenancy. Maintenance issues were ignored or met with rude, dismissive responses. Emails and phone calls often went unanswered. When we raised serious concerns like damp and mould, the blame was shifted onto us, rather than any real effort made to assess or resolve the problem despite it clearly being a longstanding structural issue. Their contractors were unreliable and careless. Work was frequently left unfinished, and in some cases, contractors left rubbish dumped in the alleyway next to our property. We had to constantly chase both the contractors and the agency for updates or completion and even then, the standard of work and level of accountability was unacceptable. The staff we dealt with were often rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Once the tenancy was signed, their interest in providing any sort of professional service vanished. It felt like tenants were treated as an inconvenience rather than customers. To any prospective tenants or landlords: avoid Brennan Ayre O’Neill lettings at all costs. They are unresponsive, unprofessional, and take no accountability for problems. We would never rent through them again and strongly advise others to steer clear. Our landlord has now switched letting agents and the difference in just one month says a lot about the property “management” or lack of from Brennan Ayre O’Neill.

Lesley came out and did the initial valuation, I was put at ease from the off and it made it an extremely easy decision for me to put my house on the market with Martin and Co. Once the house had gone on the market Abby took over for the sales progression. This was not an easy sale but Abby kept me well informed throughout and I could not be more grateful to her for all the support and chasing she had to do throughout. I am so happy that I chose Martin and Co. I would absolutely sell my house through Martin and Co again.- 29th Nov 2025 (23 weeks ago)In a difficult market hopefully we have sold the house
2nd May 2026 (7 days ago)Not sure what you have to do to qualify to get on the list at Bakewell and Horner. But even with the new Law that only came in Yesterday. I am still getting emails saying. Sorry you have not made the Shortlist. Its a shame really as there are so many of us just trying to find a home. But every application I have made with Bakewell the computer always says NO. Hmmmmm

15th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I have recently rented out my home through Lesley Hooks with the help of Claire & Charlie! Something that i thought was a daunting experienced turned out to be stress free and easy because of these two! I was really nervous with it being my first time and they explained all the things i needed to get in place and guided me through every step. It felt easy having them explain it all to me, they had all the contacts for all the certificates i needed and advised me on the landlord insurer they recommend. Lesley came to my property to take the photos and she was lovely! Her knowledge and experience is amazing. Claire really made me feel like i was in safe hands as she managed all my viewings of the property and kept me updated. Finding a tenant with Claire really took away my concerns and anxiety about the whole situation and she really did help me find the perfect couple for my home! I cannot recommend the experience i've had with Lesley Hooks enough simply because of these girls! They made the experience comfortable & easy, nothing was too much hassle for them and i didn't feel stressed like i thought i would! I actually ended up enjoying the experience of becoming a landlord for the first time in the end and i don't think i would have if i didn't have their help and guidance. - 22nd Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Thank you to everyone at BFL! My house move from start to finish was drawn out, and very stressful, but BFL made it easier throughout! From me making the wrong decision and going with another estate agent, to coming back to BFL, to the date of completion, BFL were proactive, organised and communicative. I truly believe everything would have fell through, if not for their incredible and hard work. My only regret is not choosing them sooner. They went above and beyond the entire time, such as chasing other solicitors in the chain, and having to deal with my not so nice neighbours calling them. They handled everything professionally and efficiently. I will be forever grateful!

Great service from start to finish - from making an appointment, viewing property to going through the buying process. Highly recommend buying a house from them.

Always available, always charming, always diligent in following up the slightest lead. Whilst we was dealing with the pain of bereavement and deciding to sell our parents house, dealing with Darren was friendly, very knowledgable and professional advising us through all the stages of selling the property and made the process as easy as possible. He was available and a constant throughout and went above and beyond to keep us updated right through to completion when we was not getting much updates from the Solicitor.

Dan quickly generated an amazing number of viewings and multiple offers, so many, in fact, that we soon stopped using multiple agents and relied entirely on him. After a few setbacks with buyers, Dan was undeterred and went right back to work with positivity and optimism. He secured a truly great offer for us and handheld the entire process brilliantly, all the way through to exchange. Dealing with Dan was an absolute pleasure; he is personable, incredibly astute, and makes what can be a stressful process feel straightforward. I would work with him again without hesitation.
