I unfortunately had some major plumbing issues at my property. She quickly and competently handling everything on my behalf, keeping me updated as often as necessary. She really helped to alleviate the stress of a difficult and potentially very costly situation, and I could not be happier with the result. 14th Oct 2025 (22 weeks ago)WARNING to all rental tenants. Beware! This company do not vet their landlords or care for tenants welfare, I’d strongly advise you steer clear. They lumbered me with a psychotic landlord, and Instead of dealing with their own dispute with her, left me to deal with an ugly situation they caused in the first place. The episode caused me untold distress and cost me a fortune. I had to move out just to get away from an unhinged landlord, and Portico didn't step in to help me with any of it. I spoke to the so-called 'manager' about it and all he cared about was grabbing a tidy profit from the situation. Even the staff said the landlord was 'trouble' but i'm the one that took the hit. Bad people, bad company, don't grace them with your custom, save yourself and go elsewhere.

Paid £415 holding deposit on 2 Feb 2026 after clearly telling the agent I’d go up to the asking price £1,850 pcm if needed.<br>They kept showing the property and accepted a higher offer while holding my deposit – this goes against the Tenant Fees Act 2019, which says stop advertising once a holding deposit is paid.<br>They never told me about the competing higher offer – I would have matched it or gone higher. Communication was unclear, facts were distorted in their response, and the process lacked transparency and fairness.<br>Wouldn’t recommend if you want a reliable agent.

Their advice has been very accurate and they clearly understand the local market really well. We were particularly pleased with the quality of the photographs/video, and their use of social media, much better than the competition! Thoroughly recommend them.

1st Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would like to thank Svetlana in Sales, and in particular Martine in Sales Progression at B&S, who played a pivotal role in successfully guiding our purchase to completion. Although B&S acted for us solely on the purchase, I had extensive contact with Martine throughout the process. She was an excellent mediator between all parties during what were, at times, very challenging circumstances. There was a point at which the stress of the process almost led us to withdraw entirely, but Martine’s professionalism, calm approach, and strong communication skills helped navigate a way forward. Despite being under considerable pressure herself, she worked tirelessly to negotiate solutions and keep matters moving. While I am sure any of the Sales Progressors would have shown the same commitment, I am particularly grateful to have worked with Martine. Svetlana was consistently warm, approachable, and accommodating during viewings and in our phone conversations. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Her final voicemail on completion was especially touching, and it genuinely felt as though she was as pleased for us as we were ourselves. Huge thanks to B&S for their help and support throughout this process.
