25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)My situation was challenging due to my losing my first buyer, and then the solicitors in the middle of the chain causing unnecessary delays. But Petty Son kept me going all through the process and held everything together for me so I could still purchase the property I was first interested in. When it came to completion they were exceptionally kind and caring due to the challenging situation which was not any fault of theirs whatsoever. I really appreciate their help and consideration all the way through. Thank you so much to each of you individually and collectively. Highly recommended.

7th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)? 1 star — and honestly, I wish I could give zero.<br><br>If you are thinking about using Foxtons to manage or sell your property, please think very carefully before you do. My experience has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward process turned into months of chasing, calling, emailing, escalating and repeatedly asking Foxtons to do things I was already paying them to do.<br><br>The biggest problem? I was paying Foxtons to manage my property, but I ended up having to manage Foxtons.<br><br>Communication was appalling. I was repeatedly told things would be dealt with, only to find myself chasing again because nothing had happened. I was passed between different members of staff, had to repeatedly explain the same issues and constantly push for basic answers. Nobody seemed prepared to take ownership and actually see a problem through to the end.<br><br>Then came the mess after the tenants vacated.<br><br>Half the keys were returned late and the other half had apparently been lost and were only found months later. There was substantial damage left at the property, yet I was left waiting month after month for quotations and updates. I chased and chased, only to eventually find that the matter had been dealt with through the deposit scheme and the result was £15.<br><br>£15.<br><br>After all the damage, delays and time spent chasing Foxtons, that was the outcome.<br><br>To make matters worse, Foxtons failed to properly communicate what was happening with the deposit process and I was subsequently cut off from the deposit scheme, leaving me with no meaningful way to pursue the matter. Six months later, I am still waiting for a promised phone call from Foxtons.<br><br>Then there was the completely unnecessary situation involving our new estate agent collecting the keys. I live overseas and my mum was struggling to get to the Foxtons office, so our new estate agent was doing us a favour by collecting the keys on our behalf. Instead of simply handing over the keys, a member of the Foxtons office staff became confrontational with our new agent and told him to come outside to fight.<br><br>This was completely unacceptable and completely unnecessary. Someone was trying to help us because I live overseas, and Foxtons managed to turn even the simple collection of keys into another confrontation.<br><br>By this point it was impossible to see these as isolated mistakes. Weeks would pass, I would chase, I would be given an assurance, nothing would happen and I would have to chase again.<br><br>I was living overseas throughout this. I wasn't asking Foxtons to do me a favour. I was paying them to manage my property. I should not have needed to spend hours making calls and sending emails from the other side of the world just to get basic things done.<br><br>Eventually I escalated the matter to senior management because the normal channels clearly weren't working. You would expect that to finally result in someone taking responsibility.<br><br>It didn't.<br><br>I received one email and then nothing. No meaningful follow-up, no resolution and no phone call.<br><br>For a company charging professional estate-agent fees, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect communication, accountability and basic follow-through.<br><br>I would never use Foxtons again and I would strongly advise anyone considering using them to look elsewhere. Don't just judge an estate agent by how they appear when everything is going smoothly. Judge them by how they deal with problems.<br><br>In my experience, Foxtons didn't take ownership. They became another problem I had to manage.<br><br>An estate agent should make selling and managing your property easier. Foxtons made it harder, more stressful and far more time-consuming than it ever needed to be.<br><br>And the most ridiculous part? The matter is STILL not resolved. I am still waiting for an email back from Sam.

Thanks to Oliver for facilitating and coordinating the viewings of our property, and setting things up.<br><br>And a huge apprecation for all the hardwork Martine put in toward the end of the journey, making sure we got over ther line to completion. Martine was our guide throughout, and was helping us through some challenging moments, but her commitment and hard work in dealing with all other parties in the chain ensured we were able to get through to the end. She always kept us informed, and was instrumental in pushing other parties (solicitors, agents and clients) to act quickly on outstanding enquiries. And she was super communicative, always willing to jump into urgent video calls to keep things moving. She was our guardian angel. Thank you Martine.<br><br>We would highly recommend Butler & Stag (and Martine) to anyone wishing to buy or sell a property.
21st Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)called them on 3 separate occasions post moving out of a property and getting deposit back, every single time been told the admin team are ‘not at their desk’ and no manager seems to be available either? Does noone actually work at this company during working hours? Poor customer service, cant speak to anyone ever no matter what day or time it is.<br><br>Also their staff have no compassion or empathy to their customers after getting burgled in one of the properties they manage<br><br>Oh and still dont have the deposit back after 21 days of moving out, despite new tenants moving in 24 hours after we left.

Jon walked us through the process of buying a house very clearly, responded quickly whenever we had questions, and was always a pleasure to work with.<br><br>Jon had expert knowledge of the Devon area and we would be very happy to buy / sell a house through him in the future.

11th Oct 2026 (16 days ago)My experience with Easymove was good until I was given the wrong keys to my newly purchased property. Things got worse when Mirjaan tried to convince me that they were the right keys and asked me to find a way to get into the property without them which was very unprofessional thing to suggest. After two stressful days, he finally gave me the correct keys, but without any explanation of what had happened. Unfortunately, for this reason, I would not recommend Easymove to anyone.

From the first viewing of our rental property, to the onboarding process and then the quick responses when we've needed - have found them super easy to deal with. A nice change from renting via one of the large corporates.
19th Oct 2026 (8 days ago)My co tenant and I have had a very good experience with Highcastle estates. Throughout the whole process they were, and continue to be, receptive, engaged and supportive. Unlike other estate agencies who I engaged with, Highcastle estates did their best to make you feel valued and supported during the process. Moreover, so far on the management side of the tenancy they have resolved any issues promptly and effectively. I would recommend them to friends and family.
23rd Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Portico. The process was marked by poor communication, disorganisation and conflicting information from different members of staff. We were repeatedly given assurances that turned out not to be accurate, and important information was either missed or communicated far too late.<br><br>The situation ultimately fell apart shortly before our planned move, leaving us scrambling to make alternative arrangements. What was particularly frustrating was the lack of accountability or clear explanation from Portico throughout the process.<br><br>A year on, this still stands out as one of the most poorly handled experiences we've had with a letting agent. I would strongly recommend getting everything confirmed in writing and not relying on verbal assurances.

Will gave me information for both sales and lettings as I was not sure what I wanted to do at first. They were always willing to help when I had questions.
