I came to her in quite a hurry, and she was able to help me obtain my AIP swiftly, and then the full mortgage application once my offer was accepted. She was incredibly polite, friendly, and kind throughout the entire application process, and was able to secure me with a great mortgage. I would highly recommend Jasmine and her company to anyone who is looking for a mortgage advisor.

7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)We had our house on the market with Burchell Edwards, Ilkeston, and things initially went quite well, securing a sale at asking price. This unfortunately fell through on the day we were supposed to exchange contracts and we had to start the process again.<br><br>We resold quite quickly but our new buyer dropped the price by £7000 after a survey. The branch told us that this was due to the risk of damp and we asked what they ment as we had damp proofing done recently, that came with 25-year guarantees. Then the branch told us they thought we didn’t have any damp proofing done, and specifically that they had told the buyer the opposite without clarifying with us first. Ultimately the buyer would not take that the branch had told them false information into account and we had to take a loss on the house, as we already had our dream property lined up.<br><br>Then there were various issues once we handed over to the progressions team. I won’t detail them all as it would take me a long time. Due to the service as a whole we made a complaint through the complaints team. The response was quite frankly inadequate. They found ‘no evidence’ that the branch had made the error by telling the buyer we had no damp proofing done, along with other issues raised to them. They essentially said, since the staff member didn’t write the error down it couldn’t have happened. I really felt like they were dismissive of our complaints. I would not recommend them to anyone and I would not use them again.<br><br>I would however recommend Green and May in Alfreton, they were who sold us our new home, I couldn’t be happier with the service we received from them. They were exceptional!
18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)Had my property managed by them . Not happy with the way they handled when it came to an issue with tenant . The person in charge have not returned any of my calls dispite many messages left . Nobody took any responsibility on misshandeling and mistakes that was made .<br>I am still waiting for the last tenant to remove the rubbish they left in garden which will cost me a good couple of hunderd and the deposit has been returned without solving this issue.The property was left dirty also . It looks like nobody did their job and no last inspection was done .<br>I was told it was let to a letting company and their effort to contact them has failed .<br>All that management fees are to avoid this kind of problems or so I thought.

Even after moving into my new place she checked in with me to make sure everything was okay.
5th Aug 2026 (18 days ago)We were given a valuation band of 200-250k (which in itself is outrageous), we were assured we could reasonably expect to receive over 225k for the property . We listed for 235 on their advice and grossly overpriced ourselves as a result. The interior photos in the listing were great, the exterior photos were unflattering and utilised drone shots on a crowded street - we had to ask for the lead photo to be changed. Proactive communication was absolutely non-existent, had to request every change in valuation, had to chase the mortgage in principle certificate, reduce the value numerous times. We only held a viewing for one couple (twice), which we had to conduct ourselves. As a result of the pricing strategy, we did not sell and lost the house we wanted. In addition, even delisting was farcical and the property was still live several weeks the agreed delisting date. Simply put, the pricing strategy was incorrect from the off and the enormous portfolio this agent holds is at a severe detriment to it's customer care.

They have always responded promptly, provided clear and helpful advice, and were ready to answer any questions I had.<br><br>They took the time to understand what I needed as a landlady and offered practical options and guidance at every stage. I felt very well supported throughout the process.<br>They made the whole letting process feel smooth and well organised.<br><br>Their advice gave me confidence in making decisions.<br>They were approachable and patient, even with small questions.<br>I felt they were focused on finding the right solution rather than simply rushing the process.<br><br>I would be happy to use them again in the future.<br><br>Maisie and Dominic worked closely with me, and I really appreciated their professionalism, responsiveness and support. 18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

1st Aug 2026 (22 days ago)We had heard that selling a house is a stressful experience. However we found that it isn’t, if GianFranco at Hortons is acting for you! From the initial contact we found GianFranco to be efficient, professional, proactive and thoroughly pleasant. He sold our property on the day of the first set of viewings and kept us informed all the way up to completion. I could not have scripted a more stress free experience myself. There should be a five star plus rating to do justice to excellence like GianFanco’s. Thank you on behalf of our family.

Picked up keys today and very happy with the purchase for the price I got it for - would 100% use them again for another purchase as they have a lot of good deals if you are looking to buy tenanted property.
