27th Apr 2026 (12 days ago)I’d give 0 stars if I could, the staff are absolutely disgusting. Took over a month to get our deposit back and they are thieves the lot of them. Katie Edmond’s is the worst one with dealt with, wouldn’t reply for days when we had a question and even when she did end up replying she wouldn’t state all the facts. The only good worker there Tommy left. We were robbed of a good experience and if anyone ever is looking to private rent do NOT go with reed residental. £140 back from a £1000 deposit! When we moved in the place was awful but we had no money and needed a place to stay, we got told the fridge, washing machine and oven was a “gift” that “gift” was really just old tat that they didn’t want to have to pay to get rid of but we had to pay for all it to go because none of it worked. Don’t understand how the company is still allowed to be running but I definitely would not recommend to anyone moving into a property to use reed!!

1st May 2026 (8 days ago)William H Brown have managed my rental property really well over the last few years, and I’ve been so pleased with their service. Debbie in particular has been a fantastic property manager throughout. She’s always prompt with replies and ensuring things are being taken care of, and lets me know of any issues reported by the tenants immediately. She’s been incredibly helpful and proactive with things that need to be arranged (certifications etc), and organising contractors when needed, which has given me great peace of mind during the rental period. It really has been a seamless experience.

She kept us well informed and went out of her way to make sure everything moved forward smoothly. Unfortunately, communication with some other members of the team was less consistent and it could sometimes be difficult to get updates, but Carol’s support and professionalism made a real difference and ensured everything was ultimately resolved.- 21st Apr 2026 (18 days ago)Avoid at all costs, consistent chasing them up regarding the status of a property to let and now refusing to return the holding deposit! 19th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)It’s definitely the best agency I’ve had. I’ve used quite a few across the country, from South to North, and this one stands out. They’re efficient, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, in special Kirsty . Whenever I report a problem in the house, they respond quickly and get it fixed straight away. We also have a cleaner every two weeks, and everything runs smoothly. When I first moved in, both the room and the house were spotless, quite and fully furnished with everything I needed. The whole letting process was straightforward and pleasant. I’m very happy overall. It’s just a shame they don’t have more agencies like this in Beeston.

1st May 2026 (8 days ago)I would like to take the opportunity of thanking the staff of Tristrams Estate and letting for the sale of my property. In particular I would like to thank Marta for her professional approach to all the aspects of selling the property, in particular, keeping me informed, negotiating and finally selling the property. After the sale was completed, it was then passed over to kirsten, who overseas the completion of the sale, kirsten deals with the solicitors, on both sides which is quite a difficult task, once again very professional and kept me informed from start to finish, so thankyou once again Mr A Meakin

There were many hurdles to overcome due to a large chain but our contact Lucy (at the Kimberley office) was brilliant. She chased all the chains solicitors daily. She kept us in the loop (even when the news wasn’t great). Lucy didn’t hesitate to try everything she could to resolve the issues that were completely out of our control. We couldn’t have asked for anymore. She went over and above. She throughly deserves the 5 STAR review. Thank you for your service! Neil & Emma.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

15th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I have never had any encounters with this company but the people who drive the vans have disgraceful attitudes when driving, just today a driver who didn’t want to let me merge, followed me home and threatened my life. These drivers need to learn that they represent the company and need ti be dealt with.
