Searching for a new home is even more stressful…<br><br>Last year, while searching for a new home in the Cotswolds, we had the good fortune to meet Tanya Hall from Carter Jonas Oxford. As well as having an incredible ability to showcase special properties, she is a master in the art of matchmaking tenants to landlords. She innately understands that for certain properties it is all about the relationship rather than simply getting a “deal” done.<br><br>Tanya was remarkably thoughtful and adept at helping us get to know our landlord and her team during the vetting phase. She was clear, transparent and always available to guide us through the process. At every point of the negotiation we felt heard and understood by Tanya.<br><br>Now almost a year into our tenancy, we could not be happier with our decision and as a distinct bonus, our landlords have become dear friends.<br><br>We could not be more thrilled with Tanya’s level of service. We would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new dream home in the Cotswolds.

Rather than focusing solely on filling the property quickly, she took the time to understand what type of tenant would be the best long-term fit. 14th Jul 2026 (15 weeks ago)DO NOT RENT with Saville’s - YOU WILL REGRET IT!! They haven’t cleaned the building in MONTHS, dirt and mould everywhere. And they don’t dispose of bins until the room is a health hazard - and even then they don’t want to do it. No point contacting them they are all completely ignorant. Go straight to Ombudsman and Health and Safety executive, they should be fined for causing a health and safety risk.- 17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)We used Thomas Merrifield Kidlington office to sell our 3 bed semi detached house in Oxford. We felt they were very fair with their estimated value of our property and honest all the way through the selling process. We were fortunate to deal with all the staff from the Kidlington office and found them all very polite and caring. Within five weeks, we had accepted an offer and Lisa guided us through the stressful time of selling a property to a completion, I would highly recommend this Estate Agents.

9th Oct 2026 (18 days ago)I started as a landlord where Andrews had been superb as our managing agents and then progressed to selling the property with Andrews (Headington)<br>The sales team were professional ,knowledgeable,easy to deal with and patient In a difficult market with a challenging lawyer buyer we achieved a sale at the appropriate price in a challenging market and all in under 1 month after the formal offer was received ]<br>I would thoroughly recommend them

15th Oct 2026 (12 days ago)I have had the pleasure of working with Nick Jones at Bidwells Lettings for the past four years, and I would highly recommend Nick and his team to anyone looking to rent a property.<br><br>When I moved to the UK over four years ago, I had no prior experience of renting a property here and was unfamiliar with how the whole process worked. From the very first time I met Nick, his professionalism, approachability, and excellent communication made everything incredibly straightforward and reassuring.<br><br>Over the years, Nick has always been just a phone call away whenever we have needed anything. No matter how small or significant the issue, he has always been approachable, responsive, and genuinely keen to help. Any maintenance concerns or other matters have been dealt with promptly and efficiently by Nick and his team.<br><br>In fact, one of the main reasons we have been so happy to stay in our current rented property for all these years is the consistently excellent service and communication we have received from Nick and the team. Having someone reliable, professional, and easy to speak to makes such a difference when renting a home.<br><br>Nick is not only excellent at what he does, but also an incredibly nice person to deal with. Complete waste of our time and a shocking response afterwards.<br><br>I arranged to view a property on McLean Drive in Oxford on Saturday 17th October at 10am with an estate agent named Ibrar Hussain.<br><br>I made it very clear to Ibrar that we were travelling two hours specifically for this viewing, and he agreed to meet us at the property at 10am.<br><br>We got two children up early on a Saturday morning, made the two-hour journey to Oxford and arrived as arranged. Unfortunately, Ibrar was nowhere to be seen.<br><br>We waited outside the property until 10:20am, but nobody arrived. No phone call, no apology, no explanation. Just a completely wasted morning and a four-hour round trip.<br><br>What has annoyed me even more is receiving an email this morning from Ibrar Hussain claiming that he was at the property from 10am until 10:30am and had waited half an hour for us!<br><br>I find this absolutely astonishing, as we were physically at the property during that time. I also have photographic evidence to support our account of events.<br><br>Mistakes happen, appointments get missed, and people occasionally get their wires crossed. I can accept that. What I cannot accept is having our account of events contradicted and being made to feel as though we were the ones who failed to turn up.<br><br>A simple apology and an attempt to put things right would have gone a long way. Instead, Ibrar’s response has made an already frustrating experience considerably worse.<br><br>When people are considering renting a property, particularly when relocating from another area, they should be able to rely on estate agents to honour agreed appointments and communicate professionally.<br><br>This experience has left me extremely disappointed. Our time, fuel and effort were completely wasted, and the response afterwards demonstrated, in my opinion, a complete lack of accountability
