Going forward with the house sale, Robert couldn't have been better, keeping me updated throughout the whole process, it was outstanding service and second to none. Thanks to the experience I received from Drummond Miller through Robert, I intend to use them again very soon when I sell my parents' house. Highly recommend without reservation

7th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)We thoroughly recommend Melrose & Porteous who recently handled the marketing and conveyancing for our property. They were highly knowledgeable of the location but most importantly they listened to our suggestions which meant we had a good number of viewings. The whole team at M&P were extremely attentive, highly courteous and provided a service with a friendly personal touch which we greatly appreciated. There was never any delay in any communications and when it came to the conveyancing, this was handled promptly with everything kept to the agreed schedule. We were very pleased that we chose Melrose & Porteous to handle our sale.

27th Feb 2024 (2 years ago)Our overall experience was totally unsatisfactory. We never received a single enquiry, phone call or any other contact of any kind. We therefore instructed Taits to take our house of the market as we were totally disalusioned with the entire situation, especially as our offer for the house we fancied was accepted on condition that we recieved offers for ours. We have therefore advised Taits of our dissatisfaction and we have now decided to stay put. As they say in live, you live and learn. ??????

17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)As a healthcare professional moving to the Scottish Borders to support the local community, I expected a basic level of professionalism from Edwin Thompson. Instead, they completely wasted our family's time. We were asked to submit a detailed application form with sensitive personal details on 2nd September just to secure a property viewing. After taking our data, they went completely silent. I followed up via email on 9th September asking for an update, but received absolutely no response from Molly. It is entirely unprofessional to harvest personal data from busy professionals relocating to the area and then completely ignore them.

25th Sep 2026 (5 weeks ago)We sold our flat through Coulters in 2026 and had a fantastic experience with the company, and everyone we engaged with in the valuation and selling teams. Coulters helped us get ready for the sale, arranging photography and sales brochures, which came out really well thanks to lots of guidance from their side. After we got our sales particulars ready, it took us a while to make the decision that we were ready to put our flat on the market, but Coulters put no pressure on us over that period of time, and instead continued to advise us and discuss our sales strategy, including when might be the optimal time to put our property on the market, so we can be in a position to buy a new property with a minimal chain/not having to rent in between. Our main contact at Coulters was Francesca Hill who supported us from the first time of reaching out to Coulters, up to the point of unpacking boxes in our new home. Francesca's advice throughout the whole process was truly invaluable, especially in the highly competitive property market in Edinburgh, and we appreciated how professional, experienced and constructive Francesca was. Selling/buying a new home is stressful, but doing it with someone like Francesca on the other end of a phone/email really makes a huge difference..png)
