17th Jan 2022 (4 years ago)Unfortunately, they couldn't find a buyer for my stunning flat themselves and had to enlist an outside estate agent, and had me stump up extra money to help compensate them. So they got it done after the end of the contact term, but it cost me £thousands more. This was after they earlier had asked me to agree to halt showings as demanded by an earlier (lower) offer that I reluctantly accepted. That buyer ended up walking weeks later, wasting precious time that could have been spent finding a real buyer. Estate agents are not your friend. No matter how charming they appear before their engagement contract is signed, once you sign it, they revert to their true mercenary selves, pressuring you to accept offers well below the very valuation they provided, because their only loyalty is to earning their fee. Don't get fooled. Wish I never used this JDW office.

12th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)Wouldn’t recommend!<br>I have raised several concerns about one of their tenants, to Helen & the MD but nothing has been done. Emails are ignored or replied to months later with inadequate excuses, since they moved in in December 2025!<br>I am writing this review at 4 am, having been kept up until 11 pm with the 8 year old child screaming like a banshee again and now being woken up with him banging around the house!<br>I have lived at my property for four years, and the last year has been a total nightmare!
7th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)When it comes to choosing an estate agent, it is imperative that you select an agent that is capable of delivering all aspects of the sales process. Finding the buyer(s), managing the offer(s) and getting to a sales memorandum is only the start and in many cases the easy bit! What happens next is where the magic happens and where Fine&Country excel. Many property sales these days involve buyers conducting multiple surveys; building, electrical, gas, oil, solar, drains, sewage, water products eg pools, jacuzzi, wood burner/chimney, radon gas. The output from these surveys can be overwhelming for both the potential buyers and sellers. Fine&Country help manage the resulting back and forth enquiries both professionally and with care, ensuring both parties remain engaged and that sensible outcomes are achieved. Many other Agencies would leave this process entirely between the buyer and seller which could either dramatically increase the time to completion or worst case result in no sale. Fine&Country level of care throughout the sale process is exemplary and I highly recommend them to get the job done, so like us, you can move on with your life!
26th Feb 2026 (26 weeks ago)We started with the ‘well known large Kent estate agent’ who were absolutely dire and let us down badly, whereas Firefly gave sensible advice, were always responsive and always answered the phone. A smaller independent agent like Firefly gives you the same Rightmove coverage as those giant agents but with more reasonable fees and staff that actually care about their customers. We would whole-heartedly recommend Firefly.
19th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)Julie Topping has been extremely helpful in my purchase. She is approachable and does not pressure you, and always willing to answer stupid questions! She cares about your circumstances and bridges a gap between buyer and seller in a considerate manner. I would definitely refer friends and family to Wards in future.

26th May 2026 (13 weeks ago)Duncan came to view and value our 6 bedroom property in Egerton …stayed for an hour and a half …. left promising to send detailed email valuation … two weeks later still nothing despite calling the office to check he had the correct details. Not very professional and not a good sign. Won’t be proceeding with savills

Kian, Fiona and the team have been super helpful during the entire process (which was not an easy and quick one because the house was under probate). Kian kept us informed all throughout the process with great communication and being a go-between us and the seller to try and move things along as swiftly and quickly as possible. 4th Jul 2026 (7 weeks ago)We chose Radfords as they are a small, local company. We were rewarded with exemplary personal service. Due to external issues it turned out to be a tricky and stressful sale. However this was mitigated by the professional, friendly service we received from Radfords. It didn’t matter which member of the team emailed or left a message, whoever answered the phone or replied knew exactly what the situation was and how to help. When calling I never needed to say more than my name. The whole team have gone over and above to complete the sale of our family home.

However Wards did get several leads and worked to turn them into a sale. Their approach was to push for the modern auction or a deep discount, and in the end it was the discount that got the sale.

They managed my rental property for a number of years & consistently went above & beyond with service , advice & managing problems . I then sold the property through them & had same great experience . I would highly recommend them for both management & selling
15th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)Having met Lisa as a first time buyer a few years ago, when it came to selling my first property there was never any doubt for me that Lisa and the team at Waghorn needed to be the ones to help me through the sales process and it’s a decision I certainly won’t regret!<br><br>From the first stages of listing I felt that Lisa and John really cared about understanding what I loved about my home and they showed genuine enthusiasm and interest in making sure they could share all of these features with potential buyers. They knew the kind of people who would be interested in my home and very quickly offers came in and the house was sold. Throughout the process the team was there to guide me through every step and answer my questions. I always felt confident that they would do exactly what they had promised. I never felt like my home was ‘just another property’ for Waghorn, it’s so clear that the team love what they do and take a real interest in their clients, helping them navigate the house buying and selling process with confidence.<br><br>This is a genuinely fantastic team and I can’t thank Lisa, John, Mel and Andrew enough for everything they have done. I don’t plan to move again any time soon but when I do I know exactly who I’ll be calling to help with the process.
20th Apr 2026 (18 weeks ago)Enquired about a property on 30th March by email, didn’t hear anything, so called the office every day for a week just to clarify if the property was still available, each time a team member took my details and said they would get the person dealing with the property to call me back. I never received a call, I then was given the direct number and email for the person dealing with the property so tried to contact them several times myself with no luck. It’s now 20th April, I never heard back Customer service is on the floor

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.
