11th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Pocock and Shaw handled the sale of my flat extremely well and at a decent price. They drew up excellent brochure with good photos, regularly made it a featured property on websites, and dealt with all the viewings (there were many) in my absence but kept me fully informed with helpful feedback.
29th May 2020 (5 years ago)I have used the services of Carter Jonas in both Cambridge and Suffolk. They have repeatedly delivered excellent professional service when the markets have been both buoyant and not. They go the extra mile and are incredibly accommodating. I only once used another agent who over promised and then under delivered. I changed to Carter Jonas again (they were very gracious) as a result I had a buyer within days of the instruction.

Darren was spot on for the valuation and Lucy kept me proactively up to date throughout the process, including when a buyer unexpectedly pulled out, after which they gave maximum effort to secure another. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again although I hope we won't be moving for a while!
7th Apr 2026 (4 weeks ago)We recently purchased our grade2 home through Compass Elevation and we have to thank Mark Sheffield for making the process from our sellers side as smooth as possible. He was always available to show us around the property while we decided if it was the right move for us and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had in purchasing this grade2 building. He liaised quickly & effectively between us & our seller keeping us all up to date at all times and answered all our questions. I genuinely felt Mark cared & thanks to him we are now settled into our new home. I highly recommend Mark.

22nd Apr 2026 (16 days ago)As a buyer of a property in Letchworth, Lane and Bennetts were absolutely fantasic. It took me 10 months to buy my house, throughout the process they were efficient, communicative and really supportive towards me. Always a friendly voice at the end of the phone and nothing was too much trouble. My first buyer fell through after a few months so it wasn't a smooth process. Lane and Bennett were able to negotiate with all the different parties in the chain to make it happen. Big thanks to Michael, Patricia, Paula and team. Now living in my dream house and loving it.

15th Sep 2025 (7 mo. ago)We decided to use Sharman Quinney to sell our apartment in November 2024, however our experience was very disappointing, and not reflective of the positive reviews we had previously seen. It took them 15 days to get our advert up on Rightmove once photographs had been taken. Despite being promised our advert would be uploaded before Christmas, it was not uploaded until after Boxing Day. It included several mistakes (things we were not made aware of before it went live). We chased this numerous times, and although some issues were fixed, various issues with the advert still remained. After a month of no viewings and an advert that was never fully corrected, we cancelled our contract with them altogether (at no cost). We then decided to go with a private estate agent who uploaded our advert within 48 hours of photographs. The advert was exactly how we wanted it, and an offer was made on our first viewing, the day after it was put on Rightmove! We are now in our new house and so happy we made the decision to leave SQ. Everything happens for a reason I guess.

Andy would always be available even out of hours. Would highly recommend this estate, they kept me positive about selling my property as they really understand the local market. They are independent, not part of a corporate chain and you really get a personal service. Five star service. Thank you guys

With a friendly, knowledgeable team, they are a family run agency offering a close, supportive and personal service to their clients often missed by the corporate agencies. They have always been super quick to respond to any communication and extremely professional while doing so. They were also incredibly understanding, respectful and accommodating of my personal situation. I especially want to call out Bev H who I spoke with the most, she's a real star. Should I decide to rent again in the future or have a property to rent out then Cheffins will be my first choice.

They also supported us well in dealing with a difficult chain and were always available when we needed them. We would definitely recommend them highly.
