They drew up excellent brochure with good photos, regularly made it a featured property on websites, and dealt with all the viewings (there were many) in my absence but kept me fully informed with helpful feedback.

11th Jun 2026 (25 days ago)I had an extremely disappointing experience when I came close to buying a property through Abbotts Stowmarket.<br><br>They effectively lead me on for well over a month, making me believe that I had placed an acceptable offer on a property, and that the vendor just needed more time to find onwards, only for them to then inform me at the very last second that another party had come in with an offer... how convenient.<br><br>It’s clear that these agents used me as nothing more than bait, a useful idiot, to force the sale to go to best and final offers and to get their client a bigger offer, having led me down the garden path for weeks.<br><br>We all know that estate agents deploy these shady tactics, but it’s still extremely disappointing to fall victim to them.<br><br>I would not recommend buying through Abbotts Stowmarket, but you’ll probably do quite well selling through them TBH, as they seem to deploy these unsavoury tactics against perspective buyers and exploit their trust and goodwill.<br><br>A real shame.

They were incredibly helpful, responsive, and supportive throughout the process, always taking the time to answer my questions and assist with my requests. Their professionalism and kindness made what could have been a stressful experience much smoother. Thank you both for all your help. I really appreciate it!

They made sure we were updated every step of the way with the sale of the bungalow and provided some very useful local information. They were always available for viewings at any time for potential buyers and kept us updated on progress and always fed back in a timely manner Would recommend using Giggs if you have one in your area

Lisa in particular has always been on standby, sending texts, voice notes and making calls at any given moment. Nothing seemed to much trouble and there was always a friendly vibe, even when things were tough. It takes a special sort of someone to always be happy and friendly in a job like this, and Lisa fits the bill every time! Thank you for all you did for the sale & completion of my property. Highly recommend to all! ??????

3rd Feb 2026 (22 weeks ago)I had been renting a property in Ely for the past 4 years or so through Cheffins and have had nothing but a positive experience. They have always been super quick to respond to any communication and extremely professional while doing so. They were also incredibly understanding, respectful and accommodating of my personal situation. I especially want to call out Bev H who I spoke with the most, she's a real star. Should I decide to rent again in the future or have a property to rent out then Cheffins will be my first choice.

4th Aug 2024 (1 year ago)Property went "live" and we had 2 viewings within 24 hours. Our property sold the following day. Buyers had to wait 6 months to move as we had to wait for our new property to be completed. Progress updated to buyer on regular basis and sale went through generally without bother (a few usual bumps in the road with solicitors, etc) but all completed successfully.
