Zoe, the manager, was extremely professional and helpful throughout, making the whole process smooth and well?organised. Alfie was also fantastic—he showed us the property multiple times and was always patient in answering all our questions and explaining everything clearly. His support and responsiveness made a big difference and helped us feel confident in our decision. Overall, the team provided outstanding service, and we really appreciate their help during such an important purchase. Highly recommended!
14th Mar 2026 (4 days ago)I had a very disappointing experience with this letting agency. My viewing was confirmed both over the phone and by email, so I travelled to the property as agreed. When I arrived outside the property, they suddenly cancelled the viewing and gave me different excuses. This was extremely unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. If the viewing could not take place, they should have informed me well in advance instead of letting me travel there for nothing. I expected much better communication and reliability from a letting agency.

All thought she is really amazing, her manager is not so helpfull. 22nd Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)The whole team at Arkwright’s in Saffron Walden have been a joy to work with. From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.

4th Mar 2026 (14 days ago)Exceptional service by Lee , Darren , Zac & the team yet again. I have personally used Turners , alongside friends and family for the last 20 years . Their costs are equal to all local estate agents - HOWEVER , they even assist and educate conveyancing solicitors to ensure both sale and purchasie is achieved , unbelievable knowledge & over and above what is charged . The cost of a failed chain completion is never factored into any sale or purchase. This team have again used their experience to achieve a sale , a sale that would not have happened unless they applied their skills which benefits EVERYBODY in a chain . Unbelievable , thank you all , again !

However once we went with them we had an offer within 3 days from the first viewers Felt great about it and then communications seemed to stop and was left in the dark and we had to chase for further info and timeliness etc
6th Mar 2026 (12 days ago)We recently sold two properties through Chalk Street Estates- overall had a very positive experience and would recommend this firm to anyone looking to market properties or purchase. The marketing of both properties was excellent. The photography was particularly impressive — very professional, with bright and clear images that really showcased the properties far better than many other listings we saw from different agents. Their pricing was also competitive and reasonable, which gave us confidence in choosing them to market our homes. Throughout the process, the team communicated well regarding viewing requests and follow-ups, keeping us informed at each stage. Unfortunately, there were some aspects outside of their control — particularly issues arising from the mortgage surveyor — which ultimately impacted the final agreed sale prices, bringing them below the initial valuations. Despite this, the team at Chalk Street worked hard to communicate with the rest of the chain and help reach an agreement. We found difficult conversations were handled professionally and very efficiently in what was at the time of our sales a buyers market. We also had an issue with the initial offer being reduced and had to relist the property, but this was handled efficiently and we secured a new offer within a week. Our offers were originally agreed around October, with initial viewings supported by Faye and later managed by Jack. We are very greatful to Jack- selling 2 properties is extremely challenging and Jack was nothing short of a miracle worker when it came to securing offers for both homes at the same time. A true credit to Chalk Street. As we moved closer to completion, Mandy became our main point of contact (around January, roughly eight weeks before completion). We had an incredibly challenging chain, but Mandy worked tirelessly behind the scenes, cross-communicating with all parties involved to help push things forward and encourage completion. We feel this was crucial to supporting completion with multiple agencies, solicitors and buyers involved- this we feel makes Chalk Street a stand out in their field. When we were purchasing our home 5 years ago we did the chasing with solicitors, Mandys involvement really eliminated the stress of it all. We are now in our dream home and cannot thank the team’s professionalism, persistence, and dedication during what turned out to be a complex sale process. If you are looking to sell or buy, they wont let you down :)
