   I instructed James Anderson after being impressed by the proactive marketing strategy discussed at the outset, particularly the targeted buyer activity, wider office network, grouped viewings and detailed weekly reporting. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match those expectations. The initial marketing felt rushed, with simple mistakes such as the property not appearing through the search function on their own website, and the overall strategy didn't align with what had been promised at the outset. Despite raising my concerns repeatedly, I didn't see the level of proactive activity I had expected. Although the agreed strategy and marketing activity had not yet been fully delivered, and we were also in the holiday period, I was being encouraged to reduce the price after just four weeks. When I didn't agree to this, I saw little evidence of further activity to generate viewings, with the focus continuing to come back to price. I also asked for specific marketing changes, including refreshed photography and floorplans, and greater visibility of buyer enquiries and follow-up activity. These were not delivered as expected, and the reporting remained largely generic Rightmove statistics rather than giving me a clear picture of the activity behind the figures. The team were pleasant to deal with and I have no criticism of them personally, but ultimately the service did not match what was discussed when I instructed them, and I decided to terminate the instruction....    We had our flat on the market with Dexter's for the exclusivity period. During that time we were passed between 3 contacts at Dexter's. The first agent left within a week or two of taking our property on, put little effort into the marketing of the property resulting in a poor advert and poor viewings. The second agent was much better, rectified many mistakes and did find us a buyer. The buyer sadly pulled out, but by this point the second agent at Dexter's had also moved on. It took 3 days for us to hear of the news of the buyer falling through and a further week for the agent to actually make any contact with us. We found out the buyer had pulled out from our estate agent from the property we were purchasing calling our solicitors and asking for an update. Dexter's in my opinion were an appalling service. We put out flat on the market with another agent and had a brilliant offer, from a truly lovely couple within a few weeks. I wish I'd gone with the data in GetAgent in the first place, rather than going on gut feel. When we bought our flat it was with Dexter's and we got the impression that they were relationship people, however, it turns out they act in the interest of the buyer not the seller.... Read more

   Jonathan Daykin at Foxtons Putney hounded me for days when my tenants left to relet my flat. I pushed back saying Foxtons commission was too high. When I eventually said I would not continue with them, Foxtons reassigned my utility bills against my knowledge and without informing m, to a company who have proceeded to cut my supply to electricity and gas. I have been asking for assistance from the Foxtons Putney office who have been letting my flat for the last 5 years, they do not return my calls or emails. Foxtons have blocked Ovo from transferring my supply to Octopus Energy and even though it’s their mess, if they don’t see a financial incentive, they are not interested! So shoddy and it proves they are only interested in your money and not providing a good customer service.... Read more

    Yvette White of Barnard Marcus was just amazing so helpful and kind when she came to do the valuation. We had other work going on but she was very understanding and patient.<br>Yvette Was meant to be away the following week but made sure we got the appraisal before she went away.<br>Really admire her professionalism.<br>Also thanks to Emma at the office.<br>I highly recommend Barnard Marcus for all letting and sales and also Yvette she is so unlike an estate agent which is quiet refreshing to say the least....
