5th Mar 2026 (13 days ago)Appalling handling of tenancy deposit — avoid We vacated our property at Masters Court, Harrow on 30 January 2026 in good condition, and over a month later we have still not received our deposit back. The handling of this entire process by Connells has been deeply disappointing. Despite sending multiple emails and attempting to call numerous times, we have received nothing but vague responses saying they are "still liaising with the former landlord." No clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability. Phone calls have gone unanswered, and no direct contact number has been provided despite requests. The items flagged in the checkout report are standard fair wear and tear under TDS guidelines — minor wall marks, limescale build-up typical of Harrow's hard water, None of these justify withholding our deposit. To make matters worse, wife is 24 weeks pregnant, and the unnecessary financial stress caused by this prolonged delay has had a real impact on her mental health and wellbeing. This is completely unacceptable. We have now raised a formal dispute through the tenancy deposit scheme, which should never have been necessary. We have never experienced such poor deposit handling with any previous letting agency. If you are a prospective tenant — be warned. We would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

The team managed to keep me informed of progress and helped to speed things along at critical moments when blockages appeared. A friendly and thoroughly professional experience and would recommend Gibbs Gillespie for your house sale or purchase from them.

Really nice lady took her time with us I felt no pressure just a nice experience viewing the flat.

From the very beginning, he was friendly, approachable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Buying a house can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Jakub made everything much smoother for us. He was always professional, quick to respond to our questions, and kept us updated at every stage. We really appreciated how supportive and patient he was, especially when there were delays and changes along the way. Jakub’s communication was excellent, and he genuinely seemed to care about helping us through the process rather than just completing a transaction. It made a big difference having someone so reliable and positive guiding us through such an important purchase. 13th Mar 2026 (5 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Maple Estate Agents. This has been one of the worst services I have ever received from an estate agency. Communication has been very poor and my formal complaint regarding issues at the property has been completely ignored despite multiple emails. I was left to deal with an unresolved electricity dispute directly with the landlord and received no support from the agency, even though the tenancy was arranged through them. Professional assistance and proper guidance were expected but unfortunately not provided. Overall, the lack of response, accountability, and support has made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Maple Estate Agents based on my experience.
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. 3rd Mar 2026 (15 days ago)I recently began a tenancy for a flat in Gerrards Cross through Gibbs Gillespie, and they were fantastic to work with. Jekaterina especially was incredibly on-the-ball and always quick to get back to me on all of my many queries as a first time renter. Jekaterina also helped me to negotiate with the landlord for a fixture to be added to the flat before my move-in date. It was very nice to have a team of qualified letting agents in your corner during the whole process.

Dipesh and the team managed to secure a tenant within a couple of weeks of going live on the market. Shivani was excellent.. efficient and professional keeping me updated all the way and managed all the essential paperwork. She ensured a stress free process until the end. If you're looking for an agent who delivers fast, reliable and super friendly staff look no further .. Coopers is the one.

I have been kept up to date throughout the process and feel confident that they are supporting me as a seller. I was a little concerned at first that their valuation was £25,000 above what another agent had provided, but I needn't have been as they secured an asking price offer a week after it went onto the market!
