16th Jul 2026 (6 weeks ago)I paid £213 to Greenfield for the holding deposit. The referencing failed. Instead of them refunding my money. They deducted £60 from my money. When I enquired The agent called Laurence said, they have deducted the cost of referencing from it.<br>I said what?? You didn't tell me from the onset. Moreover, I have not asked anyone to do referencing on my behalf, so why I'm I bearing the cost.<br>Is this extortion or what???

Their communication was fantastic, kept up to date with progression work, providing me with weekly updates - ensuring the sale was moving forwards and foreseeing any potential issues. Progression work is vital to a smooth sale, often over looked by other agents! 5 Stars

The whole process was very smooth and we were kept updated throughout. I would absolutely recommend this office if you are needing to let your property. Thank you!
17th Jul 2026 (5 weeks ago)Go out of your way to avoid this agency, we have been landed with the landlord from hell who has painted over mould, left us without a working shower and let themself into the property without any notice.<br><br>Although this is not the agency's fault, it shows there is no vetting process in place before they take on clients. As well as that, they have been zero help in aiding us in contacting our landlord who we simply cannot get hold of and may have vanished off the face of the earth for all we know. If I could leave zero stars I would.

He took the time to answer all of our questions, was always easy to communicate with, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and straightforward. Christian was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

The team had a great insight into the area and local market, clearly demonstrating their years of experience. I would highly recommend anyone to go with them, and have done so already to several of our friends and colleagues.

22nd Dec 2021 (4 years ago)I cannot say enough about V&H Homes and specifically Maria at the Ashtead Branch. While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny
31st Jul 2026 (24 days ago)We honestly couldn't have asked for a better estate agent to guide us through both the sale of our apartment and the purchase of our new family home.<br><br>It certainly wasn't the most straightforward sale and purchase, with plenty of challenges along the way, but from start to finish the whole team was professional, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive.<br><br>A special thank you has to go to Aaron, who was our main point of contact throughout. He was absolutely outstanding.<br>His communication was excellent, he was always available to answer our questions, he kept us updated every step of the way and was proactive in chasing things whenever progress stalled. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and his calm, reassuring approach made a huge difference during what could have been a very stressful process.<br><br>We are absolutely delighted with our new home and so grateful for everything Aaron and the team did to help us get here. 7th Aug 2026 (17 days ago)We have used Hound & Porter twice in the last year with excellent results. The first sale produced a better than expected return, quicker than we could have hoped for. The second sale was slightly more difficult but a good result was achieved.<br><br>Throughout these processes Hound & Porter kept strictly within professional boundaries, but pushed hard on our behalf.<br><br>We would not hesitate to use them again !

Communication was excellent throughout, and being able to chat via WhatsApp made everything so easy and meant I was always kept up to date. Nicole was brilliant from start to finish—patient, accommodating, calm and responsive and always happy to answer my questions, making what can be a stressful process feel much more manageable. I’ll strangely miss checking in with the team! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.
