Our sale took nearly a year and had its challenges, but they stayed patient, proactive and kept everything moving. Communication was always clear and professional. 20th Jan 2026 (8 weeks ago)Recently purchased a flat through Alan de Maid and Ryan provided excellent service from the first day's viewing right up until completion. Without Ryan's dedication this sale would have undoubtedly fallen through. Unfortunately service from the recommended solicitor at Taylor Rose (B.S.) was such that a complaint to the SRA is being prepared. This is not a reflection of Taylor Rose as a company as the vendor's solicitor was also from Taylor Rose and was apparently excellent. Ryan did everything possible to mitigate the ongoing problems, liaising with the vendor, calling solicitors within the chain and involving more senior staff at Taylor Rose on several occasions to drive the process forward. Ryan was incredibly responsive throughout the process and always gave advance notice of any days he would be out of the office for holidays etc. He replied to emails and queries in a very timely manner, often providing information that had not been forthcoming from the solicitor. His communication throughout was faultless. The process was a long and arduous five months, but thanks to an extremely patient vendor and a dogged determination from Ryan to get this purchase over the line, completion was achieved. He has taken a thorough, personal and speedy approach to our sale and has been really supportive since he first showed us the property we are close to completing on. Junaid is very fair, balancing both our needs as buyers and the sellers as well - not an easy job. He has made fantastic recommendations, communicated excellently and is always willing to go an extra mile, always with a smile. I have also appreciated that when he is unavailable, he makes sure we are left in good hands and that we are still looked after. As a result, can’t recommend Mann, and Junaid highly enough. James Poll and his team marketed our property and managed the presentation, photography and viewings smoothly. We were kept informed of viewings and offers and we were advised on the best way to move forward with the elements of the sale process. In a difficult market, James managed to facilitate a sale which suited both parties. Oaks proved to be good with their communication with us as well as their professionalism.
7th Mar 2026 (11 days ago)Called foxtons Croydon to view a flat in and spoken with Charlie , asked him for and appointment and he said he will come back to me, I made clear that I’m interested only for that flat viewing . After view days received call from them suggested other flats , I did explain to them that I’m interested in other flats but only on this one and still waiting for a response on the appointment confirmation, next got call and we confirmed the viewing . 1 day before viewing received a call that 2 offers are being made below asking price however I told that I still want to see the property and since the offer were below asking price I can still make a better offer . 9:20am Saturday 40min before my appointment I get which says the flat is no longer available that seller has accept and offer on Saturday and they told I will let you know once it’s still available. I has lucky enough to have seller number and I text him and he said that he was still waiting for few more viewing and then he will make a decision so clearly they are doing something dodgy and are not trustworthy as they are lying . First time I experienced such an unprofessional behaviour. I have being involved in many properties viewing selling before and never seeing something like that .

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
