Everything was handled in the most gentle, sensitive, and professional manner. We have always dealt with Teresa, who is so helpful, calm, and thorough. No question is ever too silly and believe me, we have asked plenty! We are incredibly grateful to have such a hands-on team who deal with everything to such a high standard. The team have always been friendly, professional, and easy to contact whenever I've needed help or advice.<br>Any maintenance issues have been dealt with promptly, and communication throughout my tenancy has been clear and helpful. They've made the renting process straightforward and stress-free, which I really appreciate.<br>I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to rent a property, and I'd like to thank the team for their support during my tenancy.

22nd May 2026 (6 weeks ago)I had to keep contacting them to find out what was going on. Didn’t always respond to emails and phone calls. Had viewings but they didn’t seem to follow through with due diligence. Poor customer service. Changed agents after 6 months with them and sold within 2 weeks.

1st Mar 2024 (2 years ago)Just finished our tenancy agreement after 2 years 3 months. The whole Preferential team have been fantastic but specially Emma K since I dealt with her from day one till the end of the tenancy, she is brilliant. to be fair they always fixed any fault in the property pretty quickly so thanks to Victoria for this. I did not deal much with the director Simon but he did some adjustments to my contract to be able to give the month notice from the day I exchanged contracts of the property I purchased so thanks for this. From our side we have kept the property always clean and taken care of it as if it was ours. I recommend Preferential.

He was always available to chat, never made us feel like a nuisance, and his advice was spot on every time. It’s rare to find an agent who is this invested in their clients. He and his lovely colleague Liz pushed our sale over the line when things got tough, and we are now happily settled in a home we love. The service we received from Acres Walmley was exceptional. From the initial meeting through to completion Matt, both Katie s , Ellie and Paula were approachable and professional and kept the communication lines open all the way through. I cannot recommend Acres Walmley highly enough for selling property and will miss my regular visits for an update. thank you all Yvonne and Ray
25th Jun 2025 (1 year ago)I had a completely unprofessional experience with John Shepherd Estate & Letting Agents regarding a rental property in the Gravelly Hill area. On June 23rd, I submitted a viewing request through Rightmove for a flat where I fully met all the pre-qualification criteria mentioned in their listing, including income, move-in date, and tenant profile. Since I received no response, I went in person to their office on June 24th. They confirmed that my request was in their system and told me I would be contacted later that day to arrange a viewing. That call never came. I followed up again by email on June 25th, which was also ignored. Meanwhile, I tried calling multiple times during working hours, but their phone line appears to be permanently down. It always plays a message saying no one is available, with no way to leave a voicemail. This is not only unprofessional, it makes them completely unreachable. To make matters worse, the listing was marked as "out of market" on June 25th without any notice or explanation. I was never informed if the property was let, withdrawn, or if I was being considered at all. No courtesy email, no update, nothing. I made every effort to follow their process, I showed genuine interest, I visited their office, followed up in writing and by phone, and I met all their listed requirements. In return, I received complete silence and zero transparency. This is not just poor service – it is a total lack of respect for applicants. If you are a prospective tenant, I strongly advise caution when dealing with this branch. My experience showed a complete breakdown in professionalism, communication, and basic standards of letting practice.
