No communication, no updates, they over value a property to get you on board and then you have to keep reducing the price because they cannot sell it. 2 years to sell a property during a time when all houses were flying off the shelves! Anything associated with Duckworths, I would stay well away unless you want to lose money. They don't care and it shows in their service.

25th Oct 2026 (2 days ago)Aubrey Lee arranged numerous repairs to our property in a timely and professional manner. (...even for some issues that weren't standard. e.g. A bird got stuck in an external vent, so they extracted the bird and put a more solid cover on the vent. They also put a more solid cover on a vent in the back which required an entire roofing team!) Eleanor Gregory personally came to see all the things that needed fixing. THANKS!

Brilliant service from start to finish, always kept me updated throughout the whole process and was always there if I had any questions. 4th Aug 2026 (12 weeks ago)We found the whole team at Farrow & Farrow very polite and helpful. The whole selling process is very emotive and the advice given about marketing and presenting our property was incredibly beneficial. The house write up by Peter was exceptional and the photographs by Emma showed the property off perfectly. Along side a powerful marketing video using photos, video and drones. Viewings held by Emma were informative and her ability to remember all the details was outstanding. The house is a unique 250yr old converted farmhouse in the challenging top end of the market therefore took some time to sell but all the team remained encouraging and worked tirelessly to find a buyer. Peter even took time to show us all the aspects of how they promote and sell properties which was encouraging for us. Somehow as busy as they are we always felt apart of the process and we were delighted of course when a new buyer was found. We cannot thank the team enough for helping sell our property.
12th Oct 2026 (15 days ago)We spent months trying to sell our house in Chadderton with Ryder & Dutton, and unfortunately, the communication just wasn’t there. It was often difficult to get through on the phone or get an answer, and we sometimes felt like just another number.<br><br>Then we switched to Cowell, and what a difference! Our house sold within a month, and the whole experience was so much more positive. The team were helpful, proactive and really kept things moving, even helping to speed things up with the solicitors to get us to completion.<br><br>Harry came out to value our house, and he was great from the start! Really friendly, enthusiastic and transparent. The video tour he did was fantastic, and the photographer also did an amazing job with the pictures.<br><br>And then there’s Leah! Honestly, we cannot recommend her enough. She has been absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process. Selling a house can be stressful, but she made everything feel so much easier. She was always so helpful and supportive, and we genuinely appreciate everything she did for us.<br><br>Of course, selling a house always involves an element of luck, as you need to find the right buyer, but good communication, transparency and support from your estate agent make such a huge difference throughout the process. For us, it wasn’t just about selling the house; it was about having a team who communicated well, cared and went the extra mile. Cowell really delivered on all of that!<br><br>A massive thank you to Harry, Leah and the whole team. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Cowell to anyone looking to sell their home! ??

29th Jul 2026 (13 weeks ago)Well when you call a voice recording says they are base on their reputation and well sadly I cant say its a good one booked to view a house and waited and had to phone in the end and it wasn't booked in which in my opinion its not professional and feel very disappointed

16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)We bought our house through Wainwrights. Rachel worked out our needs and found us the perfect house, after a few false starts. Great communication also, from Layla, keeping us updated regularly, even when our selling agent and solicitors, both of whom we were paying, couldn't seem to communicate with anyone at all, until they were chased. Wainwrights guided us through 8 months of sheer hell, at no cost to us, as the buyers. Why is it so difficult to buy a house in 2026 ? I'm sure it was easier with quill and ink !
