They are utterly professional in every sense and helpful to the nth degree. I couldn’t recommend them more as the agent to choose if you are torn between a few.

We have again just bought and sold through G&L and once more recieved an exceptional service.<br><br>We really felt that Adele went out of her way to get our property sold in less than 2 weeks. Ever the property professional she helped us all the way along the process with excellent advice, always staying calm and solving problems when ever they arise.<br>Adele and Duncan also worked hard to find us a property once we were sold and because we had access to their upcoming listing's they found us something really amazing and we are truly grateful for that.<br><br>Then as anyone who has bought a house will know property chains are rarely simple. Lucy is in charge of sales progression and is always 4 steps ahead of everyone else. Leading the charge to chase down all the solicitors, other estate agents and vendors to get things moving. Lucy also kept me regularly updated during sometimes stressful times and we certainly appreciated it.<br><br>Big thank you to an excellent team once again at Goodman & Lilley in Henleaze. We continue to reccomended you highly to our friends and family.<br><br>JUNE 2020<br>I would highly recommend Goodman & Lilley and the amazing team at the Henleaze office. We bought and sold properties with them and the service received was always above and beyond. We mostly dealt with Adele and Duncan throughout the process and always found both of them to be extremely professional and personable. They were very supportive and understanding of all the emotions that come with the moving process, Without doubt we would recommend them to friends and family and if we ever need to sell again I know who we will be instructing.

22nd Aug 2026 (1 day ago)Had a great viewing with Julie, she was excellently prepared, could answer all questions we had and had really thought out how to show us around the property to showcase it at its best.
9th Aug 2026 (14 days ago)DO NOT USE this Awful company for student lets. Throughout the entire year many issues were reported such as a broken door in one of the ground floor accessible bedrooms (security issue), leaking gutter, major mould problem (which gave my flatmate eczema; robin kings solution was to send us a YouTube video on how to prevent mould incl by using a tumble dryer which the house didn’t have ….), broken fridge handle etc and these issues required multiple follow ups before anything was done leading to very long delays. My friend had a desk in her room that was too big for the room; robin king said they would provide a new desk yet never did despite months of reminders…. Only benefit is they didn’t take our deposit. In contrast our landlord the following year (Bristol student lets) repaired any issues immediately and were a lot more pleasant to deal with. As you will notice most of the 5 * reviews are from the people who are letting their run down houses out at predatory rates to students who have no choice so they can profit whilst providing zero maintenance because students don’t know better. Not good as we paid a lot of money (they then have raised rent for new tenants) for the disprivilege of using this company

13th Aug 2026 (10 days ago)Rachael and her team at Westcoast managed both our sale and purchase.<br>Our initial transactions were incredibly fast and well managed, selling and buying within six days of going on the market!<br>The chain was pretty short but ended up being frustratingly delayed by the solicitors. Without the assistance and persistence of the team it would probably still be dragging on now!<br>Communication was excellent and we were always kept informed of any progress.<br>The team were really flexible and accomodating, in facilitating our excitement and providing multiple opportunities to revisit our purchased property prior to completion.<br>We felt valued, listened to and had all requests accommodated instantly.<br>Overall we cannot praise Westcoast in Nailsea enough and recommend them to anyone who is entering the market.

3rd Jan 2020 (6 years ago)They did not communicate, they had not studied the house , what is there or not. We had to keep contacting them to gain information after possible buyers had visited. Etc.

We had a long drawn out buying and selling process for various reasons and we were supported all of the way by Joseph who went above and beyond and of course the rest of the team. 10th Aug 2026 (13 days ago)We recently sold our property through Boardwalk Estate Agents, and despite what turned out to be a very challenging and stressful sale, the team worked incredibly hard to get us over the finish line.<br><br>A special mention has to go to Chris Palmer, the Sales Progressor, who was absolutely outstanding throughout the process. The sale was far from straightforward (despite there being no chain) and involved dealing with an extremely difficult solicitor on the buyer's side, which caused numerous delays and frustrations. Through all of this, Chris remained proactive, calm, reassuring and professional.<br><br>What really stood out was his communication. He was always incredibly quick to respond to messages and calls, kept us updated at every stage, and worked tirelessly to keep the sale moving forward when it felt like things might stall again. We were particularly grateful that, due to the urgency of the situation, Chris even took the time to deal with matters during his annual leave.<br><br>This transaction certainly tested everyone's patience and sanity! However, Chris's persistence, dedication and support made a huge difference, and I genuinely don't think the sale would have reached completion without his efforts.<br><br>I'd also like to mention Rhia Lloyd, who was a real pleasure to work with from the outset. She did a great job with the valuation and marketing of the property, and her advice and support helped get things off to a strong start. Although Chris was our main point of contact during the sale progression, Rhia was always happy to help when needed and stepped back in towards the end when things were becoming particularly challenging. We really appreciated her support and the part she played in helping us get the sale over the line.<br><br>Thank you to Chris and Rhia for all your hard work. We are now happily settling into our new life in Brighton, and we're very grateful for everything you did to help make that happen.

Matt Lennon at Ocean Estate Agents in Portishead has been exceptional.<br>He is aware of our search criteria and has been incredibly proactive in trying to match us with our needs. He has let us know when houses are coming to market, which we may be interested in, and arranged convenient viewings for us.<br>Matt is very knowledgeable about the areas we are searching in. He is also courteous, professional and polite.<br>Thank you for all your help so far.

They were consistently responsive and professional, and it was a pleasure working with them. I also happen to think they do a great job with the photography and details of the listings that they represent, and as someone on the buy-side I can only say that I was impressed by the quality of the listings they represent.

7th Aug 2026 (16 days ago)I'm really not one for leaving negative reviews but I'm genuinely amazed this office successfully lets any properties at all. I would be concerned if I were a landlord using this company.<br>We are so keen to move to Portishead and have made enquiries so many times on a number of properties. I have given up completely now as I've lost count how many promises I've received regarding call backs (that's if they answer the phone at all) I can't even get as far as a viewing - trying to get anything from anyone in this office is like getting blood from a stone.<br>Please note if they say they'll call you back, they don't mean it.

The whole process of obtaining the flat, from the initial house viewing to getting the keys, was very efficient and hassle-free. I have no doubt that dealings with Debra in the future will be smooth and easy.<br><br>We didn't have much flexibility with our move-in date though (we wanted to move in halfway through August but were rushed into starting to pay rent in mid July, when we couldn't leave our previous address yet, so we ended up paying for two properties at the same time.<br><br>It seems that the estate agents are very restricted to what the landlord wants, prioritising him over us. For example, I was reassured and given false hope that the whole flat would be repainted, only to be told later that the landlord had changed his mind and would only do the bathroom, which desperately needed it.... I am worried that reporting any issues will be a nightmare, and issues will only be sorted once an issue has become very bad. However I am writing this very early on into my tenancy so we shall see how it pans out (smoothly, I hope.)
