14th Oct 2025 (10 mo. ago)Tried selling a flat with them and it was a drawn out and painful process. It lasted more than a year before it fell through. Going with their contractors and solicitors was the biggest mistakes I made in the sale. I thought if I went with their recommendations, they will facilitate the process, but no. One was dishonest and the other one completely incompetent. Stuart Edward was initially responsive, but then when run into problems months down the line, Lindsey stopped answering calls and the boss Stuart did not call back when messages left. I was left on my own to deal with all the technicality and mess. It was so horrible and stressful, I do not wish it on anyone. Two stars was being very generous as they were ok initially. I went with them because I wanted to support family business. Never again.

She responded promptly to my inquiries and made a significant effort to ensure that the process ran smoothly. I am very pleased with the overall experience at Dowen, particularly with Caroline's assistance. It was an outstanding experience.- This agent doesn't have any reviews

18th Aug 2026 (5 days ago)It is not a no sell no fee. Be very careful if you decide to go with them. I talk with richard to begin with them. They strongly recommend me to go sol agency. And told me after 4 months. I will be free to cancel and withdrawal or add multiple agency without extra chargres. I wasnot careful enough to read all the small prints of the contract thinking it will be a standard one. And richard already confirmed and guranteen me on the phone. So i trusted him and took his words for it at that time. Now 4 months later. I was told i need to pay a withdrawal fee for 350 if i want to make any alterations. And the time is indefinite. I feel that they have keep my house in hostage. Where i cant leave unless i pay them to get out of the hook.

29th May 2026 (12 weeks ago)Awful experience from day one. Lesley came to me with a tenant who moved in October 25. First off they allowed a tenant to move in with no months rent up front - never agreed with myself. 7 months later I am still a month behind on unpaid rent even though I have emailed Lesley directly every month chasing. Peter Clark received the keys back to the property on 15/05 and I’m still yet to receive the months rent I’m owed. To add to this there wasn’t a single month where the rent was paid on the date stated on the agreement and instead they allowed the tenant to pay them with cash each month.
26th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)2 viewings one offer £40000 below asking price which was set by agent as realistic then they said it was probably too high. Also I take offence to their Facebook posts that state everything they touch turns to sold! When clearly it does not.

From start to finish Scott and the team provided exceptional, professional assistance in every aspect of the process and were patient and understanding with my queries, explaining what comes next and breaking down the jargon into layman's terms, going above and beyond to support and reassure me through to completion. I am also very thankful for their recommendations for local, reliable contractors. A valuable extra that has saved me a lot of time and potential worry. Fast replies to emails, great communication, friendly and helpful staff, working with you and for you all along the process ensured me that my custom was valued and important. A genuine independent, local business with traditional customer service values, packing a professional, contemporary punch that gets the job done. Would absolutely recommend. 10/10

They are very well connected and have very good relationship the with solicitors we used, which helped greatly in moving things along swiftly.<br>Thank you so much for your outstanding service support and expertise in getting us over the finishing line!<br>The sale of our property and purchase of our new bungalow was completed in record time!<br>We 100% wouldn't have been able to do it without Julie, John and team pushing, advising where needed and driving things forward.<br>I will certainly highly recommend them to anyone and I myself will not need look anywhere else for assistance in this field!<br><br>Thanks for everything!

All staff were very professional throughout and more than helpful with general queries. I especially felt listened to by Emma who really guided me through the sales process regarding time frames and next steps. Emails were answered promptly, communication was clear and I felt reassured that the team managed our sale well throughout. A very successful outcome and a big thank you.

We would like to give a special mention to Gill and Lauren who’s communication was excellent. If we were looking to sell again, we wouldn’t hesitate to use Ryan James.

I paid a £150 holding deposit after being told the landlord had approved my application and that I would proceed as the tenant.<br><br>Only a few hours later, I was informed that the application had been rejected and the refund would be issued. The refund was not processed on time, forcing me to chase it daily with no proper communication or urgency. It was only returned after a full week of constant follow-ups.<br><br>Although the money was eventually refunded, the way this was handled was unacceptable, stressful, and shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for tenants’ time and money. I would not use this agency again and strongly advise others to be cautious.

Picked up keys today and very happy with the purchase for the price I got it for - would 100% use them again for another purchase as they have a lot of good deals if you are looking to buy tenanted property.
