Moving house can be an important and sometimes complex process, and his support helped make everything much easier and more organised for us.<br><br>We would also like to thank Aysha and Haydar for their excellent support during the pre-tenancy and contracting stages. They were always helpful, responsive and professional.<br><br>We felt very well looked after throughout the process and would happily recommend Winkworth Hackney.

16th Oct 2026 (11 days ago)Chestertons Islington is, without question, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The sheer incompetence, appalling communication and complete lack of accountability throughout our experience have been genuinely astonishing.<br><br>Our tenancy and moving-out process was an absolute nightmare. We incurred approximately £4,000 in additional costs, spent countless hours chasing emails and attempting to resolve issues, and were subsequently faced with further disputes over what we consider to be completely unreasonable deposit deductions.<br><br>What makes this experience particularly infuriating is the apparent unwillingness to acknowledge mistakes or take meaningful responsibility for resolving them. The amount of time, money and energy we have wasted dealing with Chestertons is frankly ridiculous. For a company that markets itself as a reputable, high-end estate agency, the standard of service we received was nothing short of disgraceful.<br><br>The only exception has been Alhad, who has been helpful throughout an otherwise horrendous experience.<br><br>I cannot stress enough how strongly I would advise anyone against using Chestertons Islington- AND CHESTERTONS AS A WHOLE. I have genuinely never encountered such consistently poor service from any company. An extraordinarily expensive, stressful and exhausting experience that I would not wish on anyone.<br><br>Avoid at all costs.

On both occasions, I faced challenging situations that were handled exceptionally well and ultimately turned around thanks to Polat and his team.<br><br>Their local knowledge is second to none, and their strong network of trusted local contacts is invaluable in navigating the various aspects of a property transaction.<br><br>I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Polat and the team at Hunters Shoreditch to anyone looking for knowledgeable, well-connected, and effective estate agents.

Although I didn’t end up securing a property through her, she was incredibly helpful, friendly and informative throughout the process. As a first-time renter, I really appreciated how clearly she explained the new rental laws and everything I needed to be aware of. The whole process was pretty much done within a matter of days with zero stress! We have since moved into that flat and are absolutely in love with it. Thanks to Oliver for facilitating and coordinating the viewings of our property, and setting things up.<br><br>And a huge apprecation for all the hardwork Martine put in toward the end of the journey, making sure we got over ther line to completion. Martine was our guide throughout, and was helping us through some challenging moments, but her commitment and hard work in dealing with all other parties in the chain ensured we were able to get through to the end. She always kept us informed, and was instrumental in pushing other parties (solicitors, agents and clients) to act quickly on outstanding enquiries. And she was super communicative, always willing to jump into urgent video calls to keep things moving. She was our guardian angel. He was quick to respond, easy to deal with and made the whole process much less stressful. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking to rent.

I moved out nearly a month ago, yet they are delaying the refund of my rent overpayment. Despite acknowledging the issue and promising it would be treated as an urgent priority, they have failed to release the money or provide clear answers.<br><br>Avoid if you expect professional service and timely accounting.

My agent was responsive and helpful at first, but after I declined to make an offer on a property I couldn't view (the current tenants weren't allowing tours), he stopped replying entirely. I followed up several times over a few weeks and never heard back. That was disappointing, especially since I've had much better experiences with Foxtons branches elsewhere in London. On a positive note, the rest of the team and the receptionist were lovely and welcoming.
