Despite the market moving at the speed of light, Natasha was a brilliant help for us and managed to get us in to see places which fit our preferences, resulting in a secured agreement just 48 hours after we were in touch. James and Pervin were both fantastic communicators throughout the process of selling my N1 leasehold flat in 2026 – they were knowledgeable, efficient and effective, and it was genuinely a pleasure to liaise with them.<br>Having shopped around for estate agents and found the ‘on paper’ offerings pretty similar, it was their smaller, long-standing sales team that swung my decision – and that really worked for me, as I always knew who I would be picking up the phone to, and I had continuity and expertise on hand throughout the process.<br>Many thanks to both James and Pervin for their help!
12th Aug 2026 (11 days ago)I booked a short-term let through this agency and paid a sizeable upfront fee to arrange a furnished property with an internet connection, bed linen and towels.<br><br>When I moved in, the apartment was only partially furnished, there was no bedding or towels, and the Wi-Fi connection had not been set up. There were also several maintenance issues, including a completely blocked sink.<br><br>It took over a week, along with extensive back-and-forth communication with multiple members of the team, to get everything resolved. The whole experience was poor with the agency from start to finish and particularly disappointing given the fee I had paid for the service. They did eventually return the fee after multiple complaints.<br><br>I would not recommend this agency.- 3rd Jun 2026 (12 weeks ago)We recently moved into a beautiful new apartment in Central London and had such a great experience working with Mimi at Chestertons throughout the entire process.<br><br>From our first viewing through to move-in day, Mimi was incredibly communicative, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. Moving can often feel stressful and overwhelming, but she made everything feel smooth, organised, and straightforward.<br><br>She was always available to answer questions, kept us updated proactively, and genuinely made us feel supported from start to finish. Her professionalism combined with a warm and friendly approach made a huge difference.<br><br>Thank you, Mimi, for helping me and my partner find and move into a place we’re so excited to call home. We’d highly recommend working with her to anyone looking to move in London.

However Duncan has been a great help over the last two weeks. From the communication, always responding and keeping us updated on the property, to the efficiency on which he got us a viewing, sent the contracts to sign and handled all the logistics.<br><br>Would definitely contact both Duncan Hastings Estate if I ever need to move again, and I would highly recommend others to do the same

10th Aug 2026 (13 days ago)I had an appalling experience with this company. I arranged a house viewing which required me to travel for 3hrs+ there and back. 10 minutes before the viewing I texted the agent (Ahmad Wain) to double check I was in the right place. He immediately viewed it but offered no response. He was then 5 minutes late at which point I called him and he didn’t answer. I then had to call the office at which I was told the viewing had been cancelled, which I obviously I hadn’t been informed about . This was 30 minutes after the viewing was supposed to have started. It was a complete waste of my time and was immensely inconsiderate.<br>The next day I reached out to the agent to say I was dismayed at the events but I was still interested in the property. He never responded.<br>Then 3 weeks later the company had the audacity to reach out again to see if I was still interested in renting.<br><br>I am appalled at this company’s behaviour, they clearly have very little consideration for their customers. Being a real estate agent is a painfully simple job and to be this incompetent is astounding. I would strongly advise against any students or young people using this company.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

As a student from India, I wasn't familiar with the UK renting process, but Leon was incredibly patient, responsive, and always happy to help. He explained every step clearly, answered all my questions promptly, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I always felt supported throughout the process, and I truly appreciate how approachable and professional he was.

The strategy worked - my lovely garden flat in Kentish Town sold in four days with a bidding war. The entire process was Incredibly smooth and Dillen‘s team were so responsive, professional and helpful. I’d like to thank Titilayo, George and Josh for putting up with all my questions and holding my hand throughout the process. They were all fantastic! I honestly, couldn’t David Astburys enough.
