19th Apr 2026 (20 days ago)We have recently sold our house and was incredibly lucky to meet Jayne from W H Brown at the Newland Avenue branch in Hull. Jayne is very professional, kind, and easy to speak too. She helped and guided us every step of the way from start to finish as she was so conscientious. On some occasions we spoke to Amber, the manager who also gave good advice and was understanding with her warm approach. It was great to have a peace of mind knowing that you are being well looked after at this branch.
7th Apr 2026 (5 weeks ago)I enquired about a property I could comfortably afford, but the way I was spoken to by one staff member was completely unacceptable. While I understand there are legal procedures to follow, there is no excuse for being rude, raising your voice, or speaking to someone as if they are lying about their finances. A second staff member later called and explained the same procedures in a calm and respectful manner, which just highlights how unprofessional the first interaction was. Based on this experience alone, I would not feel comfortable having this estate agent manage a property I live in.- 6th May 2026 (3 days ago)Excellent service from start to finish. From the initial onset through to the completion and even beyond the communication, attention to detail and professionalism was exemplary. A particular shout out to Liz Redfern who was outstanding. Liz kept the communication flow open throughout the buying process and was amazing to work with. Liz was an absolute star, taking a lot of pain away from the buying process with professionalism, humour and urgency. Thanks Stanifords and thanks in particular to Liz. As I live in a different Country I relied heavily on their involvement and I wasn't disappointed. Megan my main contact answered emails immediately, picked up the phone to my every call (there were many), she chased conveyancers throughout the chain, supported us through frustrations and even arranged the meter readings when they were due. Megan was so lovely and kind while maintaining her professionalism. I cannot recommend them enough. Also a shout out to the rest of the team who did the viewings, took meter readings, turned down the heating after a cold spell and generally kept an eye on an empty property.
6th Oct 2025 (7 mo. ago)Belvoir don’t seem to be flexible in terms of their viewing windows in my opinion. From my experience today, they expect potential buyers to work around them . I requested a viewing at a flat on Lowgate, to basically be told their that their property agent didn’t want the hassle of accommodating me. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they had lots of other viewings at the property, almost insinuating that they can afford to pick and choose bits of business here and there. As a vendor, I definitely wouldn’t be happy with this company!s sales approach. Especially given that I confirmed that I would be in a position to purchase immediately with no chain involved!
15th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I'm not sure why Oscars have so many good reviews, this was the reason I chose them. For me the service was below average when selling my house. Their communication is slow at times and not what I'd expect for a professional firm. After selling my house I sent them 2 emails which they did not even respond to which I found disappointing. I will not be using them again.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

1st May 2026 (8 days ago)I recently both sold and purchased a property through Rezee, and both aspects of the move were managed brilliantly. George, the owner, was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and reassuring when he came to value my home. The house was photographed and listed within just a few days, and we accepted an offer less than two weeks later, which suited our timescales perfectly. Regarding the purchase, Rezee requires an upfront deposit to secure a property. Although I was a little unsure at first, I ended up really liking this structure as it deters time-wasters and provides genuine peace of mind for all parties involved. I also want to give a special call-out to the office team—Katie, Fran, and Amy. I naturally had a lot of questions, and they played a massive part in supporting the process and proactively chasing solicitors to keep things moving. Thank you all for helping us secure our forever home.
