14th Oct 2025 (22 weeks ago)WARNING to all rental tenants. Beware! This company do not vet their landlords or care for tenants welfare, I’d strongly advise you steer clear. They lumbered me with a psychotic landlord, and Instead of dealing with their own dispute with her, left me to deal with an ugly situation they caused in the first place. The episode caused me untold distress and cost me a fortune. I had to move out just to get away from an unhinged landlord, and Portico didn't step in to help me with any of it. I spoke to the so-called 'manager' about it and all he cared about was grabbing a tidy profit from the situation. Even the staff said the landlord was 'trouble' but i'm the one that took the hit. Bad people, bad company, don't grace them with your custom, save yourself and go elsewhere.

18th Feb 2026 (28 days ago)Communication overall was poor, and the final sale price ended up materially below what had been pitched and discussed at the outset. More concerning was the conduct from Yaseen, on the finance side, where agreed written terms were later disputed and the matter was escalated unnecessarily, including multiple threats of court action, before the correct position was eventually accepted after some push back. The issue was ultimately resolved, but the process fell short of the level of professionalism I would expect. I would recommend others ensure everything is clearly documented and reviewed before proceeding, if at all.

He delivered the best deal for us as vendors in a challenging and competitive market.

I've tried reaching out to you but you never answer left messages for Eric and Ezgi - UNPROFESSIONAL I understand you and some members where off sick but everytime I drove past your office I could see everyone in the office present and working just not answering my call or messages which makes it more unprofessional . I did CALL and try reach out to you and still no response i left whats app messages on two seperate occasions and two different people still no response so from my point of view I was certainly patient and went above and beyond to try get a response from you which never came until I left a review then the response came instantly My main purpose was to sell the property and whilst working with you I felt the only thing you wanted to do was rent my property out for short let's at rock bottom prices which I certainly said no too especially at the low ball figures you offered me( very low figures borderline disturbing) I'm glad I got my property sold with another agent I believe being honest and transparent is very important in this field which I believe in my opinion I didn't receive from you as an agent We all make mistakes if you owned the mistake and apolisged for ignoring me then we could have resolved this Instanly but to say people where sick when I could see them working in the office has certainly left me disappointed in my humble opinion

27th Feb 2026 (19 days ago)Decided to use Durden & Hunt as they were local to me. Once we decided to put our house up for sale and it only took a week to sell. They managed my need when it came to viewing my house and arranged to carry them out the viewing all in one day.

26th Feb 2026 (20 days ago)Just finished up with renting a property for 18 months through Elliott James. The service prior to agreeing the property was great - we dealt with Annabel who is very approachable and friendly. It did go downhill pretty quickly after we moved in however, and we had various issues, including slow responses from the team, several issues with furnished appliances (we paid extra for) and fobs not working, and holes in walls that took a while to be filled and repainted. We received an outrageously high rental hike after the end of our 12 month contract. We really felt we were taken advantage of here and were being extorted due to a position where we couldn’t move elsewhere. We also received anecdotal feedback from neighbours that we were being charged much more than they would have expected based on their own agreements. The worst part of the experience however was how we were treated when we handed in our notice. It felt the staff no longer felt any need for any customer service at this point and were unhelpful with any query raised. Then there were some pretty ridiculous deductions demanded from the deposit once we had left. This was without evidence, and quite clearly an attempt to make as much money as possible for the Agency and the Landlord at the tenants expense. The property was left spotless after a deep, thorough clean for which we have photo and video evidence, and yet we were charged almost £300 for further cleaning on top. We strongly believe that no matter how immaculate we had left the property, this charge would have been applied as a way of scamming money from us. In addition they claimed almost £300 for damage and almost £300 for redecoration. Again, wholly excessive for trivial issues and basically a way of taking funds from tenants hoping they wouldn’t argue about them. The ‘damage’ was normal wear and tear, and so we have disputed this with a deposit scheme. Overall, I would absolutely not recommend EJPR, and would certainly not use them again. On several occasions we have felt bullied as a result of EPJR taking financial advantage of situations, and would hate to see others in the same situation, hence taking the time to review. Update: We have had the final adjudication on our deposit dispute, and unsurprisingly the adjudicator has cancelled 80% of Elliott James deduction request. Further evidence that EJPR tried to take advantage of us in this situation and were proven to be wholly excessive in their deductions. A real shame we had to be put in this position by them, but atleast there is justice at the end of it (no thanks to EJPR).
17th Mar 2026 (1 day ago)Valuation agent clearly knew his market as he priced the house higher than two others and was correct. Had figures to back up his pricing, which was reassuring. Follow up post sale/pre-completion was good, as were communications. Would certainly use again.

Their advice has been very accurate and they clearly understand the local market really well. 1st Feb 2026 (6 weeks ago)I would like to thank Svetlana in Sales, and in particular Martine in Sales Progression at B&S, who played a pivotal role in successfully guiding our purchase to completion. Although B&S acted for us solely on the purchase, I had extensive contact with Martine throughout the process. She was an excellent mediator between all parties during what were, at times, very challenging circumstances. There was a point at which the stress of the process almost led us to withdraw entirely, but Martine’s professionalism, calm approach, and strong communication skills helped navigate a way forward. Despite being under considerable pressure herself, she worked tirelessly to negotiate solutions and keep matters moving. While I am sure any of the Sales Progressors would have shown the same commitment, I am particularly grateful to have worked with Martine. Svetlana was consistently warm, approachable, and accommodating during viewings and in our phone conversations. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Her final voicemail on completion was especially touching, and it genuinely felt as though she was as pleased for us as we were ourselves. Huge thanks to B&S for their help and support throughout this process.
