8th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)I'm taking the time to edit this here, as I said to the assistant letting manager today after chatting about the earlier review.<br><br>Update: It was good to meet in person and get clarification.<br><br>To add some context, I went to the agency to receive some support, and as I entered the office, I asked for the assistant letting manager as they were involved in our Tenant Switch process. The person in question was super helpful explaining the concept of group of landlords, which can sometimes make the process a little longer - that is something I completely understand now. Thank you.<br><br>Finally, the assistant letting manager after supporting me, asked me about the one-star review I had left (see below) and took the time to explain to me they were on annual leave and hadn't been told about the calls received from us.<br><br>They really tried to get to the bottom of this and to understand who had tried to direct us in the meantime. I apologized for our lack of awareness and actually felt sorry that they had to come back to these more emotionally-charged requests, when it was actually the admin team process that took a very long time to handle everything.<br><br>The conclusion is that we are back on track with a reliable person who showed great patience and care to keep us happy and feel respected and heard :) I'm leaving this new score even not a high one for how the episode had been handled when the person was on annual leave and "callbacks before eod" that were overpromised by others (when it wasn't actually possible). It was much better to have full transparency, thank you and all the best!<br><br>First review:<br><br>After no reply and us chasing for a month and not getting callbacks when we were told we would ( 7 times ), we get the most unapologetic email back from assistant lettings manager. It just makes one feel treated like dogs who are begging for the simplest professional treatment. I had to insist and insist on one last phone call to say how worried we were, and that we didn’t mind coming to the branch in person if it helped, in order to be taken seriously.<br><br>We really hope that other SF tenants who have been put in the hands of the assistant letting manager in question will receive better and more humane support.

Searching for a new home is even more stressful…<br><br>Last year, while searching for a new home in the Cotswolds, we had the good fortune to meet Tanya Hall from Carter Jonas Oxford. As well as having an incredible ability to showcase special properties, she is a master in the art of matchmaking tenants to landlords. She innately understands that for certain properties it is all about the relationship rather than simply getting a “deal” done.<br><br>Tanya was remarkably thoughtful and adept at helping us get to know our landlord and her team during the vetting phase. She was clear, transparent and always available to guide us through the process. At every point of the negotiation we felt heard and understood by Tanya.<br><br>Now almost a year into our tenancy, we could not be happier with our decision and as a distinct bonus, our landlords have become dear friends.<br><br>We could not be more thrilled with Tanya’s level of service. We would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a new dream home in the Cotswolds.
2nd Oct 2026 (25 days ago)We had excellent help from chancellors, Charlie Bishop made it easy for us to arrange a viewing, was flexible to our schedule, and even helped us change the move in date so we could be moved in time for a new job. excellent response times and very friendly customer service when answering our many questions.<br>And the new house is lovely!

17th Sep 2026 (6 weeks ago)Recently finally sold my property after a very long arduous selling process (no fault of Connells). Connells were amazing throughout seemed to be the only party at times to have my best interest. Charlie in particular was amazing reaching out and offering tons of support, especially when a buyer pulled out (again no fault of Connells) the had a new buyer within a week. Couldn’t recommend them enough and big thank you again to not only Charlie but the whole team.

She is absolutely wonderful — kind, caring, professional and genuinely compassionate. She goes above and beyond in every way, always making you feel supported, listened to and valued.<br><br>What really sets Eloise apart is the personal care and attention she gives. She truly goes the extra mile, showing such genuine kindness and understanding throughout the process. It is clear that she cares deeply about the people she works with, and that makes such a huge difference.<br><br>Eloise is a real credit to Davis Tate, and I cannot praise her enough. 14th Oct 2026 (13 days ago)Buyers perspective: we were constantly told that estate agents during the buying process are something to be cautious about, but Thomas Merrifield were incredible. We bought a house through them a couple of months ago, they made our journey so easier and were the least stressful part of the whole process. As a first time buyer, they spoke me through all my concerns and helped navigate solicitors and surveyors etc. George in particular was fantastic - we still speak about how great they were. If we were selling, this is the only place we would consider to sell through.

7th Oct 2026 (20 days ago)As with most REA, wish I could give 0 stars for renting. Never fixed a problem that was there from the start of tenancy, and some maintenance issues that were raised were often met with condescending advice (surprisingly yes, I can tell if the boiler is not turning on).<br><br>It’s incredible how the checkout report was the most ridiculous fiction I’ve ever seen. Particularly “Phil” and what they deemed worthy of taking our deposit for. Had a professional clean yet somehow was finding nanoparticles of dust on door handles, left the place better than what we were given but obviously they don’t care.<br><br>Managed to get all the deposit back through the DPS, because the proof they had for all the claims were a farce. Hope it was worth the time, I’ll spend much of my life making sure REA’s like these don’t steal from people renting :)<br><br>For anyone in the future, fight everything through DPS. They are incredibly fair and don’t treat you like scum of the earth- 9th May 2026 (24 weeks ago)I came into the office recently to find out some information and ask a few questions about properties, and I was lucky enough to be helped by Grace from sale and Tom from lettings. From the start, they were friendly, approachable, and really took the time to understand my situation.<br><br>Grace made the whole mortgage process feel a lot less overwhelming. She explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt confident at every step. Nothing ever felt rushed, and I genuinely felt like she had my best interests in mind.<br><br>Thanks to her help, I was able to move forward with getting my mortgage, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’d highly recommend Grace and Tom to anyone looking for honest, professional, and supportive advice.

She was incredibly knowledgeable about the market place, the local area and was realistic with what we'd achieve for our property.<br>We had a bumpy road with the turbulent housing market, and it was a long journey to sale. However, Yas was there for us throughout the entire process. Yas always made me feel like she had all the time in the day to talk to me, I always felt valued and listened to.<br>Yas would always keep us in mind for onward purchases too. She showed us around a couple of properties, and was incredibly knowledgeable about them, and whilst the properties weren't right for us, the expertise Yas showed outshone other viewing experiences we'd had by miles.
