18th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)They were very helpful without being too pushy, they did find a couple of people that put offers in but unfortunately they both pulled out for different reasons, maybe they could have been a little more proactive.

The team at the Kelvedon Hatch office demonstrated an impressive wealth of knowledge, handling every aspect with professionalism and care. From capturing excellent photographs to marketing the property effectively and conducting viewings, their service was truly second to none. A special mention goes to Hayley, the sales progressor, who worked tirelessly to ensure the sale went through smoothly. An outstanding team of dedicated professionals whom I would thoroughly recommend.

We met many different mortgage advisor but he was one of the best of best I have met. He was very easy to access he explained each and everything in detailed. You ask and he is always there. We were hoping that the process will take months but its was very smooth just because of Dylan. Many Thanks
19th Mar 2026 (16 weeks ago)Everytime I enquire about a property for sell this agent is advertising. The first question they ask is 'Do you have a property for sell'. They take all your personal details and at the end don't give a date for viewing. This happened on several occasions, I have now stopped enquiring. I believe this is a fishing tactic to get peoples information and if they can find a person who is looking to sell. I would not ever buy or sell a property through them.
24th Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)I can't recommend Ashton and Perkins highly enough. They dealt with the sale of the family home after my father went into a care home. From the listing to the exchange and completion, everything was seamless. Excellent communication throughout from Ben, Roy and Kym. Thanks very much for making a stressful time so easy.
12th May 2026 (8 weeks ago)Service was amazing, highly recommend these estate agents. Mike Driver, the branch manager, was great from start to finish. We appreciated his honesty, transparency, and his willingness to go above and beyond. He helped us chase the vendor's solicitors and was responsive over the phone. The staff were also very helpful and lovely, taking great notes and collaborating with each other well. I highly recommend, and will look to contact them again if we are in the market again. P.s. this was a review I gave in July 2021, but didnt get published!!
16th Jun 2024 (2 years ago)Was dealt the worst tenancy of my life through Lifestyle Property. Within 3 weeks of living at the flat we were burgled, front door was taken off the wall so we had no choice but to phone the landlord and was told we ‘ruined his Sunday evening’. The property made us all severely sick for months at the result of black mould. We had doctors notes and the landlord disregarded all proof that the mould was a result of poor insulation. Adam and the management team at Lifestyle property were reluctant to help in anyway, Adam asked us to send him evidence of the flat and instead of giving advice, he ignored emails and decided he no longer wanted to help. Useless estate agents and I would advise anyone to stay away from Lifestyle property, especially if the landlord is Lee Poppy.
28th Mar 2020 (6 years ago)After struggling to sell my house I stumbled upon Big Black Hen. I decided to call them for an initial chat. I found them to be very professional, knowledge and they have me some great tips in order to finally sell my home. We went ahead with Big Black Hen and there suggestions and hey presto, our house sold. Ive since recommend Big Black Hen to my friends and family. Great service

9th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)I had a really positive experience with this company while finding my flat. I want to give a special thank you to Carol Wade (Office Manager) who was amazing she guided me through the whole process, including all the references, and was so patient and supportive throughout. Geoff Burgess showed me the flat and he was very friendly and helpful. When i went to the office, I met Jemma Buisson who was also lovely and made everything smooth. Overall, the team were professional, kind, and made the process much less stressful. I would definitely recommend them.

7th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Took us approximately 7 months to complete but that was due to unforeseen circumstances in onward purchase. The staffs at Balgores were excellent and provided excellent service from initial consultation to completion. Highly recommended!

5th Oct 2022 (3 years ago)We had a really bad experience with this estate agent, so beware. We had an offer accepted on a property, Jerome did the usual of taking our ID, proof of deposit, agreement in principle etc and confirmed acceptance. Three weeks later our solicitor raised our attention to the fact that the sellers solicitor had yet to issue draft contracts. After another week I finally got hold of Jerome who confirmed that the seller wouldn't issue the draft contract until we had a confirmed mortgage offer on the property. I told Jerome that wasn't the normal sequence we were familiar with, but he assured me that was how sales progressed in his experience. We went back to our solicitor who advised us that they would indeed normally wait for draft contracts to be issued before proceeding with searches and surveys etc. So we gave the sellers solicitor a deadline before we would reconsider the offer. On the day of the deadline the seller issued a race contract and advised us that there was another interested party who's offer had also been accepted and the seller would exchange with the party which secured a mortgage offer first. I don't know whether Jerome was aware that the seller had accepted multiple offers when we had our conversation, but my instinct at the time told me he wasn't being open and honest about the sellers intentions. So beware of this agent in case they try this with you.

21st Jun 2026 (16 days ago)Chris has been excellent throughout the process, both selling and supporting me in the purchase process. He has gone above and beyond in all his support. The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.

Jack was so patient with all the delays, chased the solicitors and buyers when we were losing the will, and kept us sane. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without him. Really appreciate everything!

What should have been a straightforward transaction became a complicated chain with numerous delays. However, Waqas always stayed on top of everything from start to finish.<br><br>He was always available, always chasing updates and always looking for solutions. There was times I know I was definitely his most demanding customers but he always remained patient and professional with us.<br><br>Highly recommended and genuinely the hardest working estate agent I’ve used.
