11th Aug 2026 (12 days ago)I would highly recommend Zack and the whole team at Hunters in Barnsley.<br>We had many complications with our sale, outside of anyone’s control, and the team handled it all with great communication, patience and tenacity in getting the house to completion.<br>If anyone is thinking about selling in their area I would not hesitate to point them in the direction of Hunters. Thanks to all.

Unfortunately the property wasn’t right for us but I wouldn’t hesitate recommending BRH for purchasing or selling a property with. Thanks again Paul

Had a stressful time chasing the sellers but finally completed and moved in. Would highly recommend. Thank you again ??????
8th Aug 2026 (15 days ago)avoid if theyre going to give you a house under RNL!!! check the reviews for RNL property management before choosing a house through haus, the reviews here seem good as the house finding process is so fine but as soon as youre moved in everything is handed over to rnl and theyre a nightmare.<br><br>My room had a window that didnt shut for months which was blown open in the wind and my whole room was soaked with rain (it was unlivable and i had to stay at a friends house for days) they eventually bolted it shut in october then replaced it finally at the end of november (i moved in in july) they charge you for stuff you didnt break and you wont get your full deposit back even if the house is spotless.<br><br>friends who also had a house with them had mould in kitchen cupboards and more issues that just didnt get resolved. In the RNL reviews, people had even worse experiences, the reviews are wild so please check, be careful!!
8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)

She is so friendly, warm and approachable, which made what can be a very stressful process much easier. Her communication was excellent throughout, and I always felt supported and kept updated. Thank you, Amelia, for all your hard work – I really appreciate everything you’ve done!
29th Jul 2026 (25 days ago)I began renting my property through Gates many years ago Jess became my ‘Go To’ person and was always friendly and caring When I decided to sell it coincided with Jess moving from rental to estate agent The road to selling was bumpy to say the least but Jess was always there to support and reassure me She kept me updated every step of the way and today when the sale was completed she was quick to ring to make sure everything was ok Throughout it all I have come to think of her as a friend rather than ‘the person on the other end of the phone’ and she has been so helpful and understanding it is hard to put it into words<br>A massive thank you to you Jess You have been a superstar through all this<br>I can honestly say I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gates as an estate agent Caring and considerate throughout

Outstanding support when things got difficult I first contacted Reeds Rains – previously at 16-18 Moorgate Street, now at Wickersley Rotherham in March 2024 to help me find a flat. From the start, I was told the landlord would manage the property. I thought it would make no difference whether it was managed by the agent or landlord, but it turned out to be a terrible experience all through my stay of over two years. What impressed me most was that the team stood by me from beginning to end, even when issues arose over my deposit. They guided me step-by-step and helped me successfully recover my full deposit plus overpaid rent — something I could not have done without their support. A special mention for Abby — even though she is no longer with the company, her hard work, resilience and dedication were truly noticed and appreciated. I also want to say the Accounts Department was absolutely amazing — efficient, helpful and always there when I needed them. Thank you to every member of the team. I couldn't remember names, the branch manager and other staff members was brilliant. You turned a very stressful situation around and showed real care for your tenants. 3rd Aug 2026 (20 days ago)I dont usually leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I'd hate for someone else to go through what we did. Me and my partner were meant to move out in July for a house that was "avaliable immediately" we had a move in date confirmed, checks passed, welcome homes had sorted WiFi ect and was told the day we were meant to get the keys that the landlord had decided to sell the property, which if we had been informed at any point we wouldnt have even put in for the house. We had little to no communication from our agent even though we had sent several emails over the weeks leading up to moving in and it wasn't even our agent that told us the house was being sold, it was another agent who we had to email as ours was unresponsive. We tried calling but the voicemail was always full and after we had been told we couldn't have the house it was radio silence, no help with cancelling the wifi that they had set up, no apology for not letting us know anything so we had already given notice to our current landlord and was at risk of being homeless and I STILL haven't had a refund for my holding deposit which should have been refunded first week of July despite me emailing and ringing twice. I understand it was the landlords decision about the house but the lack of communication and empathy is disgusting

Danielle answered every question with patience, guided us through each step, and genuinely made the whole experience feel less overwhelming.<br><br>What stood out most was that her help didn’t stop once the sale completed. She continued to go the extra mile, chasing up our onward purchase and offering advice whenever we needed it. That support made a real difference to us.<br><br>We’re incredibly grateful for everything she did and would recommend Danielle without hesitation. Although we hope it’ll be a long time before we move again, we wouldn’t think twice about using her services in the future or recommending her to others.

From the very beginning, he has been incredibly efficient, professional and genuinely helpful throughout my purchase journey so far.<br><br>Jake submitted my very first offer on what will be my dream home, and he has gone above and beyond at every stage since. He even delayed his lunch break so I could get to the office with my paperwork, then helped with all the technical side of uploading the documents so everything could be processed quickly.<br><br>Communication has been outstanding. Jake has kept me fully informed about my vendor's house search and the progress of the rest of the chain, so I've always known where things stood. He also instructed my solicitors on my behalf, making the whole process much smoother and taking a lot of the stress away.<br><br>Whenever I've called or emailed, Jake has always responded promptly.<br><br>If you're buying or selling a property, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jake and the team at Mallinson & Co. Picked up keys today and very happy with the purchase for the price I got it for - would 100% use them again for another purchase as they have a lot of good deals if you are looking to buy tenanted property.
