2nd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)We sold our property and also brought with John german the whole experience was made so easy constantly keeping us upto date with feedback on the viewings we had and working hard to show us property's, everyone was so friendly and tried there best to answer any concerns we had , to be given a dedicated member of staff once we had sold and brought to do all the chasing up was amazing and took the pressure off us (thanks vicky) .I would highly recommend John german and would not hesitate to use again .

She represented our seller and from the very first viewing she was a delight, kept in touch at all times and let us know as things moved or changed. Heather has helped us secure our dream home and for this we will be forever thankful.
17th Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)Beware when your purchaser takes out a mortgage through your estate agent Would like to give zero but not allowed . In my opinion Ashbourne Bagshaws Residential protected a so called ‘hot buyer ‘ to the detriment of my sale. Helen (manager) lied to my face and said sale was going well . All the while she knew the so called ‘buyer’ had no mortgage or buildings regulations for a conversion ie not proceedable . Nor even had they 5 weeks later carried out the security checks for conveyance . I lost property after property . This is now a law suit and far from me being a tricky vendor the purchaser were not proceedable at that time. Over 4 months later l withdrew as still no Exchange . Connells the owner of Bagshaws Residential were willing to completely forget their duty to me in favour of this so called hot buyer . They were happy to let this go on month after month until the purchaser was able to proceed. In my opinion it is dishonest to favour a buyer because they were purchasing their mortgage through Connells .

From start to finish, Lisa went above and beyond to guide me through the process, staying professional and supportive, even with the unexpected delays. I truly believe the sale wouldn’t have completed without her efforts. Lisa’s communication was excellent, keeping me informed at every stage. I’m so grateful for all her help and would highly recommend her and the team.

Came out valued my house and got it on the market the same week (other estate agents couldn’t get me in for at least 3 weeks) constantly updating me with the sale of my property and the purchase of my next home. I wouldn’t sell my home through anyone else now.

26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)We have purchased two properties through this estate agent (with one purchase still ongoing) and unfortunately the experience has been disappointing!<br>Communication within the office staff has been very poor, and it often felt like staff were not communicating with each other. When our solicitors experienced delays, we were repeatedly threatened that the properties ( both of them) would be put back on the market, despite this never actually happening! This created unnecessary stress during an already demanding process.<br><br>In addition, both surveying companies we used commented on the difficulties they had communicating with this estate agent, which suggests our experience was not an isolated one.<br><br>While we appreciate that an estate agent acts on behalf of the seller, we felt there was very little effort to facilitate the process for the buyer or keep everyone informed. Overall, the lack of communication and the way issues were handled made what should have been an exciting experience far more frustrating than it needed to be.- 26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Recently purchased a property through John German and wanted to review this estate agent as been excellent , strong communication throughout the process , Jayne and staff kept us updated weekly and was able to give us feedback and chase the chain involved .<br>I have used all estate agents in the past within uttoxeter and comparing to ABODE there is no comparable.<br>Some agents don’t work to sell your house this agent proved staff are committed and resilient and confident within their roles.<br>Don’t hesitate to use this agent to sell your home , you won’t be disappointed.

When legal delays created complications, they stepped in and held everything together perfectly — keeping things moving and us fully informed.<br><br>Professional, reliable and always going the extra mile — we would 100% recommend them to anyone.<br><br>Big thanks to all the team!

We got constant phone calls from "vouch" asking for us to set up bills for the property and asking for card debit card information. These calls kept happening even after we didn't get the property. We won't be using keates again.

Thank you for taking the time to reply but looking at your previous responses to other disgruntled customers, you appear to be not the best at taking criticism nor accepting poor performance on your part. Adam stood out from day one: professional, knowledgeable and hands-on. He attended nearly every viewing, provided immediate and constructive feedback, and made subtle but very effective changes to our marketing. His communication was excellent — evenings, weekends, and helpful voice notes — which worked perfectly for us with work and young children. He genuinely went the extra mile, even attending our home to allow surveyors in when we couldn’t. Adam guided us not only on the sale but also offered great advice for our onward purchase. His attention to detail, enthusiasm and commitment made the whole process smoother. We’d absolutely use him again and highly recommend him.

From the valuation up to finding a buyer the whole team were professional, informative and very friendly. Within a week they managed to arrange few viewings and including one potential buyer.
