3rd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)AVOID AVOID AVOID<br><br>We had our flat on the market with Haart Abbots Langley for 9 months and only had 5 viewings. Constant excuses and lies from the team, no follow ups and meant we were having to chase them throughout (despite being assured that we would get an update every week). Half of our viewings we only found out about when we called to get an update on how things were.<br><br>Shorab, Tom and Jamie were very dismissive throughout and didn’t seem to have a clue what was going on.<br><br>2 flats in the same block as ours sold within 3 weeks of going on the market using different agents for a higher price than what we had ours on for -Haart had driven down the price as they had kept stating it needed to be lower (which ultimately cost us money in the long term). It became very apparent that the issue was Haart and not the flat.<br><br>Switched over to Foxtons Watford and had 3 viewings and had sold within a week. The two estate agents were like night and day.<br><br>Haart were extremely unprofessional and caused nothing but stress whilst we were with them and their only tactic for selling seemed to be lowering the price -which in our case didn’t need to have happened and lost us money. Please look elsewhere when selling -highly recommend Foxtons!

3rd Jun 2026 (5 weeks ago)After recently ending a tenancy of almost 15 years, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank Ellis & Co and, in particular, Belinda, Khalid and Niki for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout the years. Fifteen years is a long time to rent a property, and during that time we treated the house as if it were our own home. We took great pride in looking after it, maintaining it carefully and, in our view, returned it in a significantly better condition than when we first moved in. Like any long-term tenancy, there were naturally maintenance matters and property issues that arose over the years, some of which we felt could have benefitted from more proactive attention and investment. What stood out throughout was the support provided by Ellis. The team consistently acted professionally, responded promptly and always tried to find practical and fair solutions. A special thank you to Belinda, who worked incredibly hard to guide all parties through what at times became a challenging and sensitive end-of-tenancy process. Her patience, professionalism and willingness to mediate fairly were greatly appreciated. Khalid and Niki were also always approachable, knowledgeable and helpful whenever advice or assistance was needed. One of the things we valued most was the distinction between the service provided by the agency and the differing expectations that can sometimes arise between landlords and long-term tenants. Ellis always approached matters with professionalism and fairness, helping to navigate situations that were not always straightforward. Moving after 15 years was an emotional experience for us, but we are grateful to have had an agency that genuinely cared and supported us throughout the journey. They have me good advice when I needed it and their frequency of communication and responsiveness throughout the process was excellent.<br>The standard of their publicity material was also very good, particularly the quality of photography they use—much better than many other estate agents. I haven’t hesitated to recommend them to local friends.

19th Jun 2026 (16 days ago)This is the first house we've sold in nearly 30 years and due to concerns about the widely reported malpractices of national chains, we were determined to use a small independent estate agent. Of those whom we invited to view our property, Spencer was the most impressive. Bullish but realistic and very positive.<br>Throughout the whole process, the whole firm was very efficient, comms were excellent and timely and all calls were taken immediately or returned very quickly.<br>During a mildly challenging period with our buyer it was crystal clear Spencer was representing the sellers (us) as his only priority.<br>The right advice was given at the right time, every time, and it was very much appreciated.<br>I recommend Spencer and Sener very highly to anyone considering selling their property in the Barnet area.

19th Jun 2026 (16 days ago)Very disappointing experience.<br><br>I paid a holding deposit, completed the referencing and background checks, and was sent a draft tenancy agreement to sign. I was also contacted and informed that everything was fine and that the final contract would be sent shortly.<br><br>Based on these assurances, I gave notice to my current landlord to vacate my existing property.<br><br>After waiting for around two weeks, I unexpectedly received an email indicating that the property was still available. It appeared that the property continued to be marketed despite my holding deposit having been paid, the referencing process having been completed, and a draft contract having already been signed.<br><br>What was most concerning was the lack of communication. At no point was I proactively informed that there was an issue or that the tenancy might not proceed. Had I not received that email and followed up myself, I could have been left without confirmed accommodation after already serving notice on my current home.<br><br>This situation caused significant stress and uncertainty and could have had serious consequences. I would strongly advise future tenants not to give notice on their current property until they have a fully executed tenancy agreement and written confirmation that everything is finalised.

Hugh you are very approachable and have looked at our situation and our needs. You have stuck to the plan and our Viewings have been top class in comparison to a competitor! Your team Max, Ben And Oliver who have taken time out of their schedules to get to know our home! And wow we are so impressed at the passion and commitment they have in the one thing they need to …. Sell our home! Feedback is on time and without fail. They are suited and booted which tells us that our home is in good hands! If you don’t enrol your home to DFW you are doing an injustice to your home! Keep going team we will sell it!
