14th Apr 2026 (13 weeks ago)Security is not a thing for them. A stranger entered the building in the middle of the night and activated the fire alarm of my flat by smoking in front of my door. I didn't understand what was happening, I just tried to set the alarm off. Fortunately, I didn't open the door. Anything could have happened if I had done it. The agency never messaged me to ask if I was alright. Long time after the incident, they finally decided to replace the front door lock. But the job wasn't finished on a Friday evening and the door was completely unlocked during the whole weekend. Apart from that, they evicted me saying that the flat would be renovated, which was a lie. But that's a detail. If you want to live in a place where you feel safe, and also feel you can trust your agency, avoid this one.

They shared feedback and assisted the sale once we had a buyer by facilitating communication and giving sound advice. Most of the staff at Roy Brooks are female. I would recommend them.
26th Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)Dhruv Rupapara and Zac Summerhayes were the agents who worked on the sale. They were easy and pleasant to work with and had a good understanding of the market. They sold my flat faster than I expected, were transparent and informative all through the process, answering all my questions with patience and good humour. I would recommend Winkworth Islington and both the agents without hesitation.
4th Nov 2020 (5 years ago)Gabriella helped us with our search for a flat to rent in October, 2020. She was very attentive and understood what we were looking for right away. She showed us several properties that were excellent matches for our search. She kept an eye on the market for us, giving us the first viewings on new properties. We ended up renting something else but I could not recommend her more. Finding a nice home to rent in London is always challenging and Gabriella made it a great experience for us. I will definitely work again with her and this company in the future.

26th Jan 2024 (2 years ago)I have known Katrina Fernandez for more than ten years now, and seen her grow, from young beginner, to – still young – expert property manager. She is not only willing to help, but really helpful, owing to her inexaustible resourcefulness. Managing a number of properties obviously requires technical skill and competence in more than one field. But in order to successfully do this job from the uncomfortable position of moderator between landlord and tenant, one must develop a capacity to mediate between seemingly opposed interests. And in this rarer ability Katrina really excels. She never lets you down. I will never forget the calm assurance with which she led me out of a serious hydraulic problem last summer, when my tenant was on the verge of tears, day in day out, and I really feared she would sue me for no fault of mine. I asked Katrina’s help, and her capacity to go to the heart of the matter and act accordingly saved me. Thank you, Katrina.
14th Sep 2018 (7 years ago)Very poor experience with this office. Terrible service stemming from terribly poor management. I have had my offer accepted by the vendor nine (9) months ago and contract exchange has not yet taken place! Still ongoing. Branch manager Andrew Wallington who should be dealing with the project, continuously on leave and taking days off. Just a general lack of involvement. Even incompetence has its limits. I have had to personally chase for updates for the majority of the 9 months with Mr Wallington's colleagues, who of-course scarcely know what is going on. Finally, I have come to a position where I am forced to bow out. Having already raised this issue with the Regional Manager- Jacqui White. Her response was essentially it is a "busy office", there are no "notes on the system" to confirm [my] complaints and if you remain dissatisfied, refer your complaint to the customer relations manager. I will now be taking this up with the The Property Ombudsman. I certainly will not be contacting Haart for any further dealings and would recommend this office only as one to avoid.

28th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)I strongly advise anyone considering this estate agency to avoid them entirely. My family and I were left without hot water for four months due to the agency’s complete lack of communication and failure to respond to emails or address urgent maintenance issues. To make matters worse, after moving out of the property, my deposit was withheld for an additional four months without being properly protected or returned. The situation became so serious that we were forced to involve solicitors and are currently pursuing legal action in order to recover our deposit and seek compensation. The individual primarily responsible for the lack of communication throughout this ordeal was Muniza Adam, whose failure to respond or provide support caused significant stress and inconvenience to my family. If you value professionalism, lawful handling of deposits, and basic communication from your estate agent, I strongly recommend avoiding this agency. ZERO STARS

We have been emailing and calling for over 6 months regarding issues in our property and Wallakers have done absolutely nothing to help or resolve them - or even write back! How can a block management company ignore all of their tenants? From the other reviews I can see our case is not an anomaly, and we have now had to involve the London Rogue Landlord scheme.

So much so, that we also had Gareth sell our house recently. His honesty, professionalism and commitment is on a different level. One of the best selling experiences that I've had.

From the listing to the exchange and completion, everything was seamless. Excellent communication throughout from Ben, Roy and Kym. Thanks very much for making a stressful time so easy.
10th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)rented a property through Blackstone Residentials from 17/03/2024 to 01/02/2026, and it was one of the worst renting experiences I’ve had. From the beginning of the tenancy until the day we moved out, several major issues in the property were never properly resolved. One sink never worked correctly, one shower had ongoing problems, and the washing machine was faulty for months. Even after repeatedly reporting these issues, repairs were either delayed for an unreasonable amount of time or never properly fixed at all. The washing machine replacement alone took around 3–4 months, and the replacement provided was a refurbished machine with very limited functionality. What was most frustrating was the attitude from the agency whenever we raised complaints. Instead of taking responsibility and managing the property professionally, they constantly blamed the landlord by saying things like “our owner is not good” or “she doesn’t listen, we can’t help.” As tenants, that should not be our problem. We were paying rent expecting a properly maintained property, not excuses for nearly two years. Every time we contacted them about maintenance issues, it felt like they were doing us a favour instead of fulfilling basic responsibilities. Many of the complaints we raised at the start of the tenancy were still unresolved by the end. The situation became even worse after moving out when they attempted to claim nearly 90% of our deposit — including deductions related to issues we had already been reporting to them for around 1.5 years. Thankfully, the deposit was protected through DPS, and because we had evidence, emails, and documentation, we were able to dispute the claims and recover most of our money back. My advice to anyone considering renting through this agency, especially students: document absolutely everything. Take photos and videos before moving in, keep all emails, and never rely only on verbal promises. Without evidence, it would have been very easy for us to lose a large amount of money unfairly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this agency.

They were all professional, friendly and most importantly realistic in a difficult market. Selling a house is one of the most stressful life events but Jack made it as smooth as it could be. We were given a credible selling price – not something other estate agents were keen to do - and help in presenting the house for sale so that it sold within a few weeks. We were also kept up to date after each viewing with detailed and helpful feedback which was absolutely invaluable. Jack then guided us through the sale process and helped iron out a few complications that arose. It was refreshing to deal with a team that was straightforward and upfront with no smoke and mirrors to navigate.
