6th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)Avoid at all costs Horrific experience with this letting agent. They would never reply to any emails about work needing to be done. However if they needed something they would expect me to reply straight away. For months I asked if something could be done over the flooring as it was so poorly fitted and a huge trip hazard, we had a child in the house. They refused to fix the floor but tried to take my deposit to replace it once I left. The DPS obviously didn't agree to this as the flooring was in such poor condition on commencement of the tenancy. I feel sorry to whoever has moved into the property as it was in desperate need of decorating. I think the landlord had tried to do odd jobs themself but clearly wasn't very skilled. The car park was also underwater due to the biggest pothole I have ever seen. We only lived in the property for a year because we couldn't cope with the lack of communication. Our current letting agent and all previous have been amazing so we weren't expecting such a poor experience.
1st Mar 2025 (1 year ago)Carter & King have been very professional and helpful to us throughout the process. Their team all seems to know what is going on and can help with any enquiry, but they didn’t tell us when to expect to hear from them and kept us waiting a few days, so we were chasing for updates. They did then start contacting us sooner after viewings. Overall, fairly pleased. Their brand and professionalism is good, would be even better if they were clearer about communicating.
3rd Jul 2026 (3 days ago)The agent took 6 months to sell one of the two properties I had. I spent a lot of my time chasing him up for information and feedback. He had failed to advise about writing into the sales schedule, no guarantees. This cost my £3000 payment to the buyer for a new boiler. He sold the property at home report value, which I'd agreed completely unaware of the additional costs I'd be paying. The second property did not sell. I discharged this estate agent and went with a different estate agency. Within two weeks of them marketing the property, three viewings resulted in two second viewings and an offer accepted. When I wrote a review, to prevent anyone else experiencing such unnecessary stress and negative financial impact, he responded with it was my fault for insisting on doing the viewings. Oddly enough, as my son is a vulnerable adult, I continued with the viewings after changing estate agents and behold the property sold!

However, communication of our sale performance during the marketing period could have been better. We had to call them on occasions to get an update of any interest, a simple call to us every few weeks would have been useful. Otherwise a fantastic service from Taylor’s

Jodie looked after the sale towards the end and kept us up-to-date on progress. She was quick to respond to queries and was just generally very helpful. Thank you again for making the process as easy as you could, it made all the difference!
5th Jul 2026 (1 day ago)I was using a previous letting agent but in the changeover have been very pleased with Martin and Co. Ella, Adam & Diane have been particularly helpful in negotiating fair rent and getting any repairs done that needed doing. I have found them very good at what they do.<br><br>Once again Ella and her team been very professional, this time in the smooth running transition between tenancies. If Ella was not available then other members were more than able to assist with queries. I had compliments from the tenants moving out as to what had contributed to an enjoyable tenancy for which Martin & Co must take some of the credit in how they responded to the tenants issues taking the stress out of potentially stressful situations. I would highly recommend Martin @ Co as letting agents.
24th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Found them to be extremely arrogant, who complains about a purchasers solicitor being on holiday in the middle of the school holidays. Obviously never sold a property in the summer before. Then expects the purchaser to let the vendor to be able to enter the property after contracts and payment have been made. Typical expectation of estate agents, middle men who do nothing and treat purchasers like dirt. Can't wait for the housing market to stop and the boot is on the other foot, and estate agents have to earn a living.- 26th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)We have used this company for managing the letting of our properties and we are extremely happy with the service. 23rd Jun 2026 (13 days ago)Very poor communication, do not follow up on instructions from tenant i.e. renew contracts without prior discussion with you despite your request to them not to do this, series of mistakes with no effort to improve. Would not recommend
