16th Jun 2026 (19 days ago)Such an easy, smooth process when I was looking for a flat, everyone was so friendly and helpful, they called me back when they said they would, they confirmed all the appointments were still going ahead, they explained everything in a very clear way and kept me updated at each step. In what could have been an incredibly stressful process, they made it very easy for me. I primarily dealt with Emily, who was so personable and made me feel very at ease, keeping me up to date at every step. The industry needs more people like Emily and the team at Home & Castle.

26th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Contract - BE AWARE<br>I cant fault the service that I had with freeman foreman in Heathfield and Lucy was particularly good.<br><br>I would just like all people thinking of using the company to be aware of a part of their contract. It was made clear to me by the original estate agent I dealt with that the fee would be 1% of the sold price. It turns out that there is a clever little box that gets filled in by the estate agent stating that the fee will be a minimum of £££. This figure is likely to be the valuation fee NOT the sold fee.<br><br>I would just ask anyone thinking of using ANY estate agent to be mindful of this prior to signing. Afterall the majority of us dont regularly sell properties, right?<br><br>Whilst I am sure this completely legitimate, it was never made clear to me that when the manger suggested that the original price was vastly over inflated and that I should reduce the price by 35 thousand, I would still be paying 1% commission on that 35 thousand.<br><br>I do feel this is an underhanded way of obtaining money. I am sure this is not the only estate agent to practice this, so it is just a word of caution to all about to employ an estate agent.

The sale went through reasonably quickly and they found a very suitable buyer to take over our treasured house. I would certainly recommend Leaders and use them again myself, when required.

He has provided complete transparency, along with detailed knowledge drawing on his obvious extensive experience. He has ensured that he worked with me to achieve the best value for the property, and succeeded! It took around 8 weeks for the property to go on sale until sold. This actually on the lower end of the typical selling time for the area, so another point of success. I have been continuously updated throughout the entire process, and also responds very promptly to any emails I have sent. I also want to mention that for the services provided (photos and advertising etc), that the fee is a very fair price, and good value.

She has been easy to contact throughout and very efficient dealing with any queries. We are in a fairly complex chain however Michaela has facilitated communication between all parties and kept everyone updated throughout. 2nd Jul 2026 (3 days ago)We’d like to say a huge thank you to Wendy, Ben and Eloise for all their hard work in selling our house. We put our house on at the start of a very challenging market and they persevered until we found the perfect buyers. We’ve sold property with other agents and can honestly say the team at Surridge Mison are the best to deal with. Their communication is second to none and we were never left wondering how a viewing went or what was happening. They were consistently reliable and always available for sound advice in the viewings phase and when we were going through with our sale, they made the whole thing as easy and positive as possible for us, with regular updates. We felt very supported in what can be an unsettling time and we recommend them to everyone we speak to wanting to sell their house. Thanks again guys!

13th Jun 2026 (22 days ago)Very disappointing experience. Ruby called us on Wednesday to arrange a viewing for Saturday morning at 10am. We received an email with 2 attachments of the tenancy fees and how to rent guide, however no confirmation of the viewing or the full address of the property. We then followed up twice in the next 2 days, however we received no response.<br>As we both work, we specifically arranged this viewing before work and adjusted our plans to make it happen. We were about to give up and send an email to cancel the viewing as we did not receive any communication from the agency, however at 7am in the morning of the appointment we finally received a text confirming the viewing. We then travelled for almost an hour to meet the agent.<br>At 9:45am, just 15 minutes before the scheduled viewing, my partner received a call informing us that the viewing had been cancelled. By that point we were already walking down the street where the property is located.<br>The lack of communication and the extremely late cancellation showed a complete lack of consideration for our time. Had Ruby responded to our emails or informed us earlier that the viewing could not go ahead, we could have avoided wasting our entire morning before work.<br>Based on this experience I would not recommend dealing with this agency.
