9th Jun 2026 (26 days ago)Had the pleasure of dealing with Todd Tomkinson for our rental property. From the initial visit to the property being let out, everything went smoothly. Todd arranged viewings and the property was let within a week. He kept us informed throughout each step of the process and answered any queries we had, in a timely fashion.<br>He has also helped us on an existing rental, improving communications with the tenant.

Steve the director is a compulsive liar, he has 0 compassion unless it fills his pockets with money.<br>They are absolutely dodgy and I would strongly not recommend anybody go through this agency.<br>I have had years of being ignored from them regarding serious issues with the property I rent. When I do get a response from them it’s no accountability and gaslighting, given empty promises or better yet completely dismissed anything I have reported. His act is comical to say the least, he is the most unprofessional person, the “work” done tends to be botched jobs that fall below standards and tenants are just expected to put up and shut up all whilst still upping rent. But can’t give no answer on speaking with the landlords to rectify issues. When I reported an ongoing issue for over 3 years now he told me I was running the risk of the landlords selling up. Now he’s threatened me twice with that answer to the disrepair and the neglect. He’ll come out to the property and deny ever being there. Not to mention never ever any follows ups, the lack of compassion, professionalism is concerning. I’m still yet to have a response regarding my actual complaints. one thing I realised is Steve doesn’t like it when people try to hold him accountable. All he cares about is what fills his pocket. He almost forgets he has a duty of care considering he is the director to this joke of an establishment. But Steve’s speciality is silent treatment and dismissing tenants as if we are beneath him but if he does feel like doing something he’ll authorise botch jobs and masking over issues rather than fixing them. I have sat and read the reviews and Every single “negative” review is CORRECT and extremely accurate. Considering it’s his business you would think he would be a bit more careful on who he tries to fool and dismiss.

We felt we had been let down by our previous agent, so the difference was remarkable. Within just one week of instructing Steve, we had an offer agreed.<br><br>Steve was proactive, professional, and kept us informed every step of the way throughout the process. His communication and dedication made what had been a frustrating experience much more straightforward.<br><br>I would highly recommend Hunters, and especially Steve Christie, to anyone looking to sell their property. They genuinely look after you and go the extra mile to achieve the best possible outcome.
5th Jul 2026 (0 days ago)Taylors estate agents in Brierley Hill have been fantastic. From the moment Mitch attended to do an initial valuation it was clear that this was a professional company. Everyone at the office has been friendly, knowledgable and professional. We were listened to throughout and keep well informed. The photograhs looked very professional and Matt took his time to ensure photos were taken from the best angles. We had a lot of viewings within the first week, and as we were holiday Taylors managed them all, keeping us informed of when viewings would happen. We were given access to an online portal where we could track all viewings and offers. We had 7 offers, 5 for the asking price. Julie managed 'best offers' from all of them, and apart from talking to Julie and deciding which offer to go with, we didn't have to do anything and our house was sold within a week.

Although our tenant pays the rent on time every month, this company delivers the rent to us with a significant delay. This month, it's been over 15 days and they still haven't sent the rent. Despite repeatedly trying to contact them via email, I receive no response. Furthermore, they are not properly managing processes for us (such as municipal taxes and electricity bills), and because we are unaware of these bills, they have put us in a position where we may face legal action.

18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Sophie went above and beyond to negotiate the best terms for me and all parties including landlord were happy to exchange. I was also in contact with Joe who assisted with all my enquiries. Very seamless experience that only took 3 weeks from the first viewing.
