10th Apr 2026 (29 days ago)A few years ago, when my partner and I were looking to rent a property, I had an experience with this company that has stayed with me ever since. During the process, a woman named Gina was holding my passport and asked me whether I was a British citizen after I had simply asked for clarification about something. What made this particularly upsetting was that my partner, who was with me at the time, was not asked the same question. He is white, and I was left feeling singled out, belittled, and judged. When I later raised this concern, I was told this was part of a right to rent check. However, that explanation did not address why I was the only one asked in that way. Right to rent checks should be applied fairly and consistently, and this interaction did not feel fair or professional to me. Years later, I still remember how uncomfortable and diminished that experience made me feel. I am sharing this because I think people deserve to know how they may be treated, especially if they are from an ethnic minority background. I hope the company reflects on how these checks are carried out and ensures that no one else is made to feel this way.

I would have no hesitation in recommending them. As this was the first time buying and selling a property with them, any concerns I had were responded to instantly. However, communication of our sale performance during the marketing period could have been better. Oliver worked with was professional, friendly, and very helpful throughout the whole process. He explained everything clearly, made the paperwork straightforward, and handed over the keys without any hassle. Overall, the service was smooth and efficient, and I felt well supported at every step. We received an extremely professional and friendly service from start to finish, with prompt updates, speedy telephone responses, thorough feedback and excellent advice. At no time did we feel pressured into making a decision or were left without reassurance. We were fully informed every step of the way, either by email, phone or in person. 4th May 2026 (5 days ago)Slade Property Collective were amazing from start to completion in the sale of my family members house based in Wolverhampton. From the moment I first met Oliver Jones at the valuation of the property, he was very knowledgeable of the local area, approachable and very helpful, answering any questions I had. I chose Slade Property Collective as they had recently sold another house very close by and I felt another local agent didn't have that personal touch that Slade had. Our house SSTC not long after being listed, however there was a slight hiccup in the sale, meaning it couldn't go through, but Oliver contacted other contacts straight away who were interested in the house. Oliver worked hard to get a sale for me, keeping me informed each step of the way, and within a week i agreed on the buyer after meeting him( Which Oliver also recommended) Oliver was very helpful with suggestions for good local solicitors, title deeds queries, EPC rating and even taking the meter readings for me to help me out as I am not local! The sale has now completed, no issues at all. Oliver kept me informed of what stage the buyer was at. I 100% recommend Slade Property Collective & Oliver Jones for your house sale.
