15th Jun 2026 (20 days ago)We withdrew from a purchase through Cheffins after what became an increasingly pressured and unprofessional experience.<br><br>Throughout the transaction we felt repeatedly pushed for mortgage and solicitor updates beyond what was reasonable, including requests to contact our mortgage advisor directly. At the same time, important due diligence issues we raised — including arranging further builder access and investigating legal concerns relating to access land — were either delayed or met with pressure to proceed within arbitrary deadlines.<br><br>The final straw was being given a 24-hour ultimatum alongside an exchange deadline before outstanding legal concerns had been properly resolved. Our solicitor had identified issues requiring further investigation, yet we were still being pushed aggressively toward exchange.<br><br>Buying a property is stressful enough without feeling pressured or spoken down to. We were proceedable, financially strong buyers acting in good faith, but ultimately decided to withdraw and pursue another property where the process would be handled more professionally and collaboratively.<br><br>Would not recommend this agent and would never use again.

15th May 2026 (7 weeks ago)WM Brown and in particular a young lady called Erin, have been extremely helpful throughout both our own house sale and our purchase of a new home in Norfolk. As we were selling privately (no estate agent), it was difficult for us to chase the progress of our own sale chain, yet Erin was helpful with this as well as ensuring all went smoothly with our purchase. All questions we had were answered promptly and she was always proactive, with a cheery, yet thoroughly professional approach. On a general point, we found Wm Brown in Watton, and other branches in Swaffham, Downham Market, Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, to name just a few, have proved probably the most proactive chain of estate agents throughout our near year long search for a new home.- 5th Jun 2026 (30 days ago)We recently used Abbots (Watton) to both buy and sell our house, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. ?A special shout out goes to Diane, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire journey. Michelle was incredible in making sure filling out the paperwork was super easy. Any questions I had were answered right away and I had absolutely zero problems. I thought the use of a professional photographer enabled them to present the property in the best way possible and the sale particulars were comprehensive and appealing. They list on multiple online sites and vet potential buyers so as to ensure views are from only people who are genuinely motivated and in a position to purchase.

Lizzy in particular did an amazing job to keep on top of things due to a protracted conveyancing process which was out of our control. Without her assistance we'd probably still not have completed, so we're very grateful to her and the team in Attleborough.
