17th Feb 2026 (29 days ago)Absolutely shocking. We put forward an offer on a property. We received a call to say that if we increased it, it would be accepted and that the seller was happy for it to be ours. We put forward the new offer and when we asked the estate agent whether this would be accepted, they said yes and told us to send over the relevant documents. Not even one hour later, we received a call to basically tell us that we had been gazumped. Apparently another offeree had put forward an offer which was ‘a lot higher’ than ours and the seller had accepted this. When we asked how much more this new figure was, the estate agent actually laughed down the phone and said ‘I can’t tell you that.’ I understand that you couldn’t tell us the figure, but you didn’t need to laugh and be rude, especially after you had wasted our entire day and got our hopes up. A bit of advice for you: if you’re aware that the seller is going to consider other offers and potentially accept a higher one, don’t tell the ‘original’ buyer in the first place that their offer has been accepted and that the seller is willing to let them have the property. Just be honest and have a bit of compassion.

Finding house with the help of Roger Dean has been a good experience.- 9th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)We chose Gascoigne Halman in Sale to sell our house and found them to be very professional and efficient. They conducted the viewings and gave us feedback after each one. They also kept us informed of what was happening once we'd accepted an offer and matters were in the hands of solicitors. All of the staff we had contact with were lovely too - the branch manager Lewis and his team (Julie, Annie, Hannah, Joe and James) were all friendly, knowledgeable and caring. We would definitely recommend Gascoigne Halman to anyone selling their property in Sale!

20th Feb 2026 (26 days ago)I wish I had instructed Paul to sell my property initially because it had languished with 2 well known agents for Months without any sensible sale plan/updates.<br>Paul offered straight talking, no nonsense advice. We had an offer within days of the viewings.<br>Go with an agent who is as committed as you are to sell and will add valuable insight to the process. You won't be disappointed with Paul.
17th Mar 2026 (1 day ago)After a disappointing start with no communication and the fact we wanted to move to another estate agent, we agreed to start again and have new photos taken and increase the visibility of the property. This resulted in more viewings however we did have to reduce the price of the property from what it was originally priced. It did attract more viewings but I felt we had to prompt the agents to get more done. They did eventually do everything that was required and sometimes we beyond what we expected.
